Girl meets Texas Part 3.1

Ari POV:
It's been a 2 days since Lucas, Zay, and their friends left and my mom said she has to talk to me and my little brother.
"What's up mama?" I ask as me and my brother Quil enter the living room and sit on the couch.
"I got offered a Job" she responds.
"That's great mom when do you start?" I ask
"Actually the thing is it's not in Texas"
"What? Mom we're moving? I can't leave what about when Lucas comes to visit" I shout.
"Actually the Job is in New York so..." she trials off.
"I'd be with him!" I yell happily, "but what about Baja and Thunder?" I ask
"Pappy joe will look after them and they'll be okay when we come back to visit" she says
"Okay when do we leave?"
"We leave in 3 days. I already finished packing most of the stuff so it's only you guys that need to start and finish"
"Okay well let's do this"

Riley POV (3 days later):
"Riley I have to tell you something" Maya says.
"I don't want to know" I say
"Riles, please"
"I don't need to know what happened"
"No I need to tell you. You have to know"
"Maya, I know a lot of things are going to happen. You know what else I know? I liked the new boy and you stepped back for me And then I saw how scared you were for him. You need to feel whatever you feel. How could I ever keep that from you? Whatever happens, happens. My brother! Hey!" I say when Lucas comes up.
"Hi. Hey, Riley. You know, um I want to thank you again for believing in me and giving me the confidence that I would be okay." He says to me making me smile maybe getting Ari out of the way for Maya will be easier.
"I will always believe in you. And I will always be here." I respond smiling.
"Thank you Riley." He says before turning to Maya "Hi" he says
"Hey" she responds.
"Hey" he says again.
"Hi" I say
"Wow" he sighs and enters the classroom.
"Hey Riley" Charlie Gardner says walking up.
"Hi Charlie" I say
"Charlie Gardner" Maya exclaims
"Stop it" I say
"Cheese souffle!" She yells.
"Maya, we just got back. What could he possibly know? Who could have possibly said anything?" I ask before we turn to Zay.
"He made me" he says
"How did he make you?" I ask kinda upset and frustrated.
"I was like, "you wanna hear a great Riley story?" He said, "yes."" Zay responds.
"I heard you and Lucas are just gonna be friends." Charlie says.
"Yeah, actually, what we're doing is" I say
"I heard you're free. Are you free?" He replies.

(A/N: The something that happened is him basically rejecting her but Riley thinks it's a kiss because she left. She'll find out in another episode. Back to the episode)

"Hoover damn" dad says before I hear a familiar voice.
"Is this Mr. Matthews class?" Ari says as she enters.
"Yes it is. Who are you?" He asks.
"I'm Arianna Black. It's my first day" Ari says.
"Ahh well welcome" dad says
"Hey handsome" Ari says
"This is real? You moved here? You're staying?" Lucas say standing up and walking forward as confusion makes it's way to dads face.
"Yea my mom got a new job here. I would've told ya but I wanted to surprise you" she says
"Well I'm surprised" he says as he moves to hug her and lift her up.
"You two know each other?" My dad asks.
"Yea she's my girlfriend" lucas answers with a smile.
"Hoover damn" daddy says again.

Lucas POV:
It's now after school and Riley called me over to her house so here I am sat in the bay window with her while Ari sits on the floor uncomfortable with sitting in what I told her was Riley's little safe haven.
"Isn't it amazing how comfortable we are with each other?" Riley says
"No! I don't feel comfortable at all." I say and Ari watches us intently.
"This is the kind of thing that we could never do, Lucas, when we were just... "Hi." "Howdy." "Hey." "Hi." Now you know what we are? Poom!" She says and it kinda looks like she's convincing herself.
"Could you maybe not hit my boyfriend anymore?" Ari asks but Riley completely ignores her.
"You're my brother. Be my brother. Give me advice, feel good about it, and nothing will ever be uncomfortable at all." She says
"Okay, let's try. What do you need advice on..." I say curious to see how this goes
"The Charlie gardner of it all. What does a first date mean in the language of "boy"? I want to break your code. What does he want? Tell me! What?" She says getting louder
"Yeah... Charlie gardner. Okay well when I asked Ari out the first time I already knew I loved her we were only 12 and 13 but I knew I wanted her so I asked her out" I reply "honestly I'm still uncomfortable. Where is your dad? Why isn't he kicking me out? I'm in your daughter's room" I yell
"I remember that day. We went horseback riding. We were in the barn grooming Baja and Thunder and then you asked me. One of the best days ever" Ari says causing me to smile at her.
"Yeah, I see ya! You sure this isn't just so he gets to sit there and be there with her like that?" Mr.Matthews says
"No, this is real." Topanga says
"Why do you need another brother?" Auggie says
"I'm just trying to do everything best for everybody concerned." Riley says
"I'm concerned." Maya says from next to me.
"Wait who are you?" Topanga asks.
"Oh Ari come here" I say standing and going over to her so I can introduce her. "Ari this is Topanga Matthews, Riley's mom"
"Pleasure to meet you ma'am" Ari says.
"Mrs.Matthews this is Arianna Black my girlfriend" I say
"Nice to meet you sweetie. Wait girlfriend? How long?" She asks.
"Yea girlfriend. 3 years on December 28th" I say smiling at Ari.
"Well you guys do look really cute together" she says
"Thank you Mrs.Matthews" we says together.
"Well we better go, my mom wanted to see Ari again" I say before we leave.

———next day at school———
It's the next day and we're sitting in our desks in Mr.Matthews class ready for class.
"Matthews, we know that everything you teach is always about us, but this is just lazy!" Maya says about the board which simply reads 'Riley Maya Lucas Arianna'.
"I don't have the time! I'm going right for it! You don't think I could mash this up with the end of world war ii if I wanted to? America loves Russia! Then America doesn't love Russia! Japan loves France now! Japan asks France to go bowling! So they go on a couple of dates, but then Japan says to France, "I just want to be friends." So France says, "I got enough friends." So they try to be civil with each other, but there's a certain chill while they're hanging out by the lockers. There's a chill! You don't think everyone in this room is going bowling with everybody else at some point? Riley, Maya, Lucas, and Arianna is all about everybody in this room, in every room, in the whole world, and the universe! They just got there first! The jerks!" Mr. Matthews rants
"Dad!" Riley exclaims.
"I'm so confused" Ari says making me turn and wink at her to which she blushes.
"You're going to high school. You are growing up in spite of my wishes. It's real now. What's happened already is nothing compared to what's gonna happen to you now. I just don't want anything bad to happen to you. Don't let anything bad happen to you!" He continues before going to grab his bag.
"The class isn't over yet, sir." I say
"Nah, I've had it." He responds.
The rest of the day goes by pretty smooth. I spend time with Ari showing her around and I know she's probably signing up for choir because she loves to sing. Right now I'm sitting with Ari as she goes over songs.
"How about 'Never let you go' by Justin Bieber?" She asks.
"You sing that one beautifully. I think it's perfect." I say before my phone rings.
"Hello?" I answer
"Hi Lucas it's Auggie. I need to talk to you" Auggie says.
"Okay I'll be over soon" I say and hang up. "Auggie, Riley's brother, needs to talk to me" I say to Ari.
"Bet this is about the brother thing" she responds
"What are you waging?"
"Whoever wins gets to plan our anniversary date"
"Deal. So if it's not about the brother thing then I plan"
"If it is I plan" Ari says
"Well then you got your myself a bet. Shake on it"
"Nope. Kiss on it" she says pulling me in and I wrap my arms around her waist pulling her closer. We continue kissing until we're out of breathe.
"I love you babygirl" I say
"I love you too bub" She responds "ill see you tomorrow"
"See you tomorrow"
