After leaving Riley's house I make my way home realizing that I lost the bet. I get home and see a text from Ari

Babygirl🥺❤️: sooooo who's planning our anniversary?
Me: it would seem that you won.
Babygirl🥺❤️: yes I called it. Can't wait your gonna love this.
Me: you already had ideas didn't you
Babygirl🥺❤️: yes yes I did. Love you
Me: Love you 2 night baby
Babygirl🥺❤️: night night bub

I put my phone down and quickly drift off to sleep thinking about how great it is to have Ari in the same state again.

———The next day———
"So" I say
"Nope"
"Please?" I ask
"No I'm not telling you what I'm planning for our anniversary. You always surprise me now it's my turn" Ari says. We were currently on a date at Topanga's and I was trying to get her to tell me her plans.
"Please?" I say and pout
"Must fight puppy face"
"How's it going" I hear Farkle
"It's disgusting" Zay answers
"You don't have to watch" I says
"I can't look away. Seriously it's cute and disgusting and it can't look away" Zay responds and I ignore him before turning my attention back to Ari and we start talking again.

Farkle POV:
Lucas and Ari turn away from us and I turn to Zay.
"you think they are like brother and sister?" I ask referring to Lucas and Riley.
"No, I just think they have a lot in common. I mean, Riley would do anything for her friends, too."  Zay says. "But those two right there. They love each other"
"Yeah. And I think she did."I say.

Riley POV:
"Hi Riley" I hear once I enter the bakery.
"Hi Charlie" I say and walk up to him.
"Riley I can't be your brother anymore" Lucas yells coming inside followed by Ari.
"Hey, Friar. Do you think you can pick a better time for this big announcement? Riley and I are gonna go on a date." Charlie says.
"You are?" Lucas questions.
"No holding hands or talking. Best date ever. I know it's not, but it's what I got." Charlie replies
"Those are the rules? Who goes on a date and doesn't talk to each other?" Lucas questions as he walks up to Ari. "Hey cutie" he says
"Hey bubs" she says.
"So" he says
"Nope still not getting it out of me" Ari says and Lucas sighs. Wonder what that's about.
"Hey Riley, can we go? I like to be there for the previews of coming attractions. When I'm not there for the previews of coming attractions, I feel like I didn't see the whole movie." Charlie says
"Dude same!" Ari exclaims "I told you it was normal bubs. I just like seeing what else we could go watch eventually"
"You and your movies" Lucas says laughing.
"What do you mean you can't be my brother anymore?" I question.
"Auggie says you can't" Ari explains.
"Hey Friar" Charlie starts
"And you know what? I think he's right. You already have a great brother." Lucas says
"Hey, Friar!" Charlie yells
"Then what will you be?" I ask Lucas
"He'll be me, because it's me now." Charlie says
"Yeah. Sorry. You have every right." I tell him
"I also want to be there early to get snacks 'cause if we're not talking or holding hands, I was gonna buy some popcorn and licorice." He says
"You mean popcorn and chocolate." Lucas asks
"I'm not you!" Charlie yells
"Okay! Anyway, Auggie loves you, Riley. So, I'm gonna step back from being your brother." Lucas tells me.
"Say "me now."" Charlie tells Ari.
"I don't need to listen to you. Auggie has every right to be a little upset over the brother thing. I remember when I first said Zay was like a brother to me my brother Quil got mad until i explained that Zay was just a close friend who was like family while he actually family"
"Don't order my girlfriend" Lucas says.
"I break the licorice into little pieces so every time I take a handful of popcorn, I get a surprise. I'm adorable. How are you not seeing this?" Charlie asks me.
"You see? Lucas does anything for anybody. I mean, he sacrifices being Riley's brother so he doesn't hurt Auggie's feelings." Zay says as he and Farkle start walking over.
"Well, same with Riley. She's stepping back from Lucas because she's doing exactly the same thing" Farkle says
"Farkle, stop." I tell him.
"But I thought she didn't like him like that anymore." Zay notes
"No, Riley's stepping back from Lucas because she doesn't..." Farkle starts to say.
"okay, she ends up with Farkle. How did we not see that coming?" Charlie says as I drag Farkle out.
"Farkle, you don't know what's going on. Stop thinking." I tell him
"I know Auggie's right. He's your only brother. I've seen the way you look at Auggie, and I've seen the way you look at Lucas. It's not the same." He says
"I... I think I know my own feelings." I say.
"You're a liar."
"Farkle."
"You're lying to yourself."
"Lucas and I don't make a good couple. He never saw me like that he has Ari. And what about Maya?"
"I'm not really sure how Maya feels"
"How could you not know?"
"This isn't about her. I'm talking about how you feel"
"Farkle Maya is my best friend. She cares about him and he cares about her too"
"He might but we know now that he loves Ari. You do anything for your friends and I'm scared what you'll do in this situation" Farkle says.
"You can't tell anybody." I say.
"I will, unless you do." He replies.
"Why?"
"Because we are growing up. And I don't know how to handle these feelings we're feeling. But I do know that we don't lie to each other. We don't lie to each other, Riley." Farkle says seriously as I continue to tear up.
"You're right. This is really hard and maybe I just need some time." I say trying to get him to back off.
"I'm always here for you."
"I love you, Farkle."
"And I love you. Now go on your date."
"Ready?" Charlie says as he comes out
"For the previews of coming attractions?" I ask
"Yeah." He says.
"I'm sure we're all wondering what happens now"Farkle says as we leave.
