Girl meets Ski Lodge Part 1.1

Ari POV:
"Mom are you sure you're okay with me going? I know this week is difficult and a part of me doesn't even know any to go because of that," I ask my mom as I pack my bag for my weekend trip to the Mount Sun Lodge with the Nature club.
"Mija come here" she says and I walk over and sit next to her.
"Yeah mama" I ask her.
"I know you're upset, you always are when this time of year comes, but go have fun with your friends. I'll be okay and Quil will be okay" my mom says hugging me close.
"No I wanna stay here and watch home movies and cry in my bed. I don't wanna be away from you both." I say stubbornly hoping my mom will let me stay.
"You know I love your father right? And that I always will?" She asks and I nod in response. "And you know he loves you too? he loves you so much" she asks me again and I nod again as tears start to come into my eyes. "Sweetie it's been 4 years we need to start moving on. Go have fun with your friends and with your boyfriend."
"I don't want to." I say as my tears cloud my vision.
"Why?"
"I don't want him to think I forgot. He's gone mama. Daddy's gone, and I want him to know I think about him and I miss him" I say crying in my moms arms.
"Baby he knows, and he'd want you to go. And you can remember him there to. He loved hiking with you, you know that. So what else is bothering you?" My mom asks causing me to break down even more.
"He won't be there for my quince. I won't be able to have a father daughter dance with him, I was looking forward to that since I was 5. Mama why did he have to go? Why him?  Why can't I get my dance with daddy? I wanted it so bad." I say finally breaking down. I've cried a lot over time but this is the first time since my dad died almost four years ago that I've really broken down . I was supposed to be the strong one. My mom lost the love of her life, I can't imagine losing Lucas so I was strong for her and poor Quil didn't even know what was happening.
"Ohh baby. I know he can't be there in person but he is, and he'll be partying up in heaven. You may not have your dance but sweetheart we'll find a way to honor your dad in some way and make him apart of it, okay?" My mama says causing me to nod as I sniffle. "Now you're gonna go have fun on that trip okay?" She asks again.
"Yeah. I'll go" I say before Lucas walks in.
"Hey baby. Hey Maria" he says holding a bag and what looks like a pie before he sees me. "Oh baby are you okay?" He says putting the stuff down and rushing over to me.
"Yeah bubba I'm okay now. What's that" I ask nodding to the stuff he brought in.
"Oh. My mom said to bring this pie over, we know what this week is and you both know we're always here." Lucas says to my mom handing over the pie.
"This bag here is our comfort bag for the trip." Lucas says grabbing it before he starts to pull things out. "I have your favorite snacks: Cheetos, kitkats, and a bunch of others. Then we have some marvel movies that we can watch while we cuddle: avenges, civil war, winter soldier, Iron man, Spider-Man. And I got you this little stuffed animal of a wolf cub cause I know that your dad always called you his cub." He explains and I start tearing up again. "Wait you're crying. Is it bad? We don't have to take it, I can return the wolf." Lucas says as he freaks out.
"No no bubs. It's perfect. Thank you, I love you so much" I say hugging the wolf cub while nuzzling into his body and giving him a couple of pecks on the lips.
"I love you too" he says kissing my forehead quickly. "Let's get you packed."
"Yeah okay" he says.

Lucas POV:
My poor angel, I know she's struggling and all I want to do is wrap her in my arms. But we have to sit in class and get ready to leave for the ski lodge. When we arrive to the classroom I sit down and pull Ari into my lap causing her to immediately snuggle close. I know I said we have to wait but yeah I couldn't.
"Nature, makes us sneeze, puts us in the infirmary. Nature" Mr.Matthews says hitting the board.
"What's he got against nature isn't he running the nature club?" Maya asks.
"He's only running the nature club because it was either that or the ski club" Riley replies.
"So why didn't he choose the ski club?" I ask.
"He can't run the ski club because of what happened at the Mount sun lodge when they were our age" Riley replies.
"Nature! The only place a bear can kill you from! Nature!" Mr.Matthews exclaims again causing Ari to laugh a little.
"Well what happened at the ski lodge?" Zay asks.
"A mountain girl kissed him" Riley responds.
"I didn't kiss her back." He responds.
"Nature!" Maya says smacking her hands down on the desk.
"How bout I throw you back in the street where you came from You waif?" Mr.Matthews asks causing Maya to look confused for a second as she mouths the word again.
"Those were very bad times for Cory and Topanga, but everything's fine now except we can't ski ever, or say "ski" or walk downhill" Riley explains to the class.
"So why is he all upset with nature?" Farkle asks.
"Guess where the hike is?" Riley responds.
"Ohh" Ari says in realization before Smackle answers.
"The Mount sun lodge."
"Nature!"
"What are you doing dad?" Riley asks.
"The ski lodge was almost the end of Cory and Topanga, America's sweethearts." He explains causing Ari to tilt her head and look like a cute puppy so I kiss her forehead quickly before Mr.Matthews continues. "And now I know something is gonna happen there for you. So I'm preparing ya for nature." He exclaims before hitting the board again.
"We're just going up to see the leaves change color" I respond.
"Nature puts on a great show when it wants to" Zay says.
"I didn't wanna come." Ari mutters under her breath so only I can hear her.
"Shhh it's okay" I say pulling her closer.
"Indeed Zay" Smackle says.
"The leaves seem to scream out" Farkle trails off.
"Hey look at me"
"You think I'm pretty"
"But I'm actually dead. This preceding was brought to you by the Smarckle corporation" Smackle says.
"Explaining big concepts in little words for you" Farkle finishes.
"All right, before we get on the bus, I want to talk to you about the other kind of nature, the human kind" Mr.Matthews starts.
"Here it comes" Ari and Zay say as they shake their heads.
"Ohh, I've been on these kinds of trips before. We made our plans, we had our blueprints. Well you know what's gonna happen to all your little teenage plans. Nothin'!" Mr.Matthews says getting louder.
"Why not?" Smackle exclaims.
"Because I am gonna be your chaperone, and I will be doggin' you every step like a dog" He responds.
"What makes you think we're like that Matthews?" Maya asks him.
"Get a load of Yogi and Darby over here" he says walking over to the couple.
"Uh, they go by Yoby now" Zay explains.
"Yeah haven't you seen their ad in the school newspaper?" I ask and Yogi lifts up a copy.
"Well it's not Yoby I'm concerned about anyways Yoby's forever" he says walking away and back towards us. "Now look over at Ari and Lucas over here" he continues.
"We're going hiking plus this is a very emotional weekend for Ari so I'm going to try and keep her mind off of it" I explain.
"Ohh Yeah. The date completely flew over my head. Ari you doing okay?" Zay asks.
"Yeah I'm okay." She responds. "I got my bubs with me."
"Well they don't concern me either. It's this four headed creeping love square that won't die that concerns me" He finishes.
"Why'd you have to" Riley says.
"Bring that up for" Maya continues.
"Are we still on this?" Ari and I ask.
"Plus I'm done with that" Maya continues.
"Bcause the square is going to the great outdoors. So we are gonna need some great chaperones" Mr.Matthews says.
"We got this completely under control Matthews. My human nature is completely under control and there is nothin or nobody who could ever change that" Maya says.
"Hey kiddies" Riley's uncle Josh says walking in causing Maya to giggle nervously.
"I'm wrong" She says looking down.
"Here we go" Riley says.
"You're my chaperone" Maya says looking at Josh.
"I invited him." Topanga says walking in.
"I love you!" Maya yells out.
"I'm coming to" She replies.
"I invited her. I'm smart" Mr.Matthews says.
"We'll be watching over you." Topanga says.
"Kay" Maya exclaims happily.
"My names josh and I'll be with you all day and all night so no monkey business" Josh says before Maya starts to imitate a monkey.
Before we know it we are on the bus and making our way to the ski lodge.
"Okay so what movie do we wanna watch first?" I ask Ari as we cuddle on the bus.
"Mmmm Iron man?" Ari asks looking up at me.
"Sounds good baby" I respond before putting the movie in the CD player on my laptop and playing the movie. We continue to enjoy the ride sharing kisses here and there along the way.
