My Distraction {Completed}

Colby's pov

I woke up due to the uncomfortable chair I checked the time 8:00 there's no way I'm going back to sleep I'm tired but I've been shifting a lot and my back hurts I sit up and there's a kink in my neck I crack my back and my neck I sigh and fold the blanket up I look at the worker and it's the same girl I get up and walk up to her "hey is there anything on Sam yet" "no I'm sorry Colby" I sighed "it's ok do you know if I could see him or not" "sorry you can't but I'll let you know as soon as you can" "ok thanks" she smiles and gives a small nod. I decide to get an energy drink and something to eat I grab my keys and phone "your leaving" the lady asks "I'm just getting food do you want anything" "oh no I'm ok thanks though" I smile and leave

I stop at a gas station and buy an energy drink and some snacks like beef sticks/jerky cookies and some candy and water and I grabbed a plastic fork they have by the soups then I go to Ihop and get some pancakes to go and I head back to the hospital. I get back to the eating room and I set my things in a chair next to me and grab my fork and eat my pancakes

I finished eating and I go on my phone for an hour and Jake comes "hey Colby" "oh hey Jake" he sits down "anything yet" "no" he sighs "well here are some things you might need it's an outfit it's mine and I brought you a phone charger I would've went to yours and got some things as well as Sam but I don't have a key card" "oh well thanks I could've gaven you them yesterday" "oh I can go now" I take out my wallet and pull out my key card and Sam's key card it's his spare and he has my spare and I give it to him "also when your there could you feed his dog he's in my apartment though" "yeah" "thank you" "no problem brother I'll be back"

He finally comes back "sorry it took so long the dog may or may not have used your apartment as a bathroom" I chuckled "it's ok" he handed me the backpack and he sits down we talk for a bit and scroll through our phones I open the beef jerky "give me some!" I chuckled and I have him the whole bag "no you can have it I only wanted some" I pulled out another bag "have it" "what else do you have!" I grabbed the back if snacks and he takes a bag of gummy bears and a beef stick. Jake stayed here for the whole day and he left before it got too dark he left probably an hour ago and it's 8:00 I go through the bag and look what he brought there's an outfit for Sam when he wakes up and can leave and clothes for about a week in here. I go to the bathrooms to change into a hoodie and joggers so I can be comfortable

I come back and put the clothes in the bag and zip it up and put it on the chair along with the other things I go on my phone. "Hey Colby" I look up "yeah" "so Sam he isn't up but you may stay in his room to untill he's aloud to leave" I smile "thank you so much" I grab the backpack and grab the snack bag along with my phone and keys "whats his room number" "320" I smile "thank you" she smiles back and I head to his room

I find it and I walk in I didn't knock because we'll you know he's not up and it's night time I walk in and I smile a bit because I finally get to see him I put my things down and a doctor walks in "ah you must be Colby" "yes sir" "would you like to know what is going on with him right now" "please" "ok well the beating he got was quite bad none of his wounds are infection or anything but he has a fractured rib it's on his left side but it's not bad and will heal fast and as of now he's in a coma but should wake up in few days" "ok thank you sir" he smiles and nods and leaves the room and I sit down and make a group chat and tell them the news

Colby- Sam isn't up he is in a coma and should wake up in a few days and has a fractured rib but it will heal quickly

Tara- wait he's ok!??

Devyn- it's not the best but at least he's ok

Jake- he doesn't deserve any of this

Aaron- I'm glad it's not worse

Corey- can you see him now

Colby- yeah

Elton- Im happy he's ok

Jake- ah Elton can sleep now 😌 

Colby- you haven't slept!

Elton- no?

Devyn- he felt like it was his fault and he didn't want to sleep until he knew he was ok

Colby- oh it wasn't your fault Elton

Elton- (explanation why he thinks it's his fault)

Colby- Elton it wasn't your fault now go get some sleep

Tara- could I come see him tomorrow even though he's not up yet

Colby- if you'd like to

Tara- ok

I put my phone down and I look at Sam he looks peaceful I feel bad that he's gonna have to wake up and feel all the pain I'd take it all away if I could. I sigh and hold his hand I feel something on it and it's the band aid he put on during the party I smile a bit I move the hair out of his eyes and squeeze his hand "I know you might not hear me but if you do please fight through this and wake up soon baby you don't deserve any of this you shouldn't be here you should be home acting like your funny self in little space and enjoying the little things that make you laugh even if there not funny please Sammy please fight through this and come back I miss you" I kiss the back of his hand and rub my thumb where I kissed I pull the chair up closer to his bed to where it's comfortable to hold his hand still and I relax back in the chair and drift off to sleep
