i woke up startled with a nightmare i just had and sat up looking around my room seeing i was alone. my head was pounding, fuck. how much did i drink last night.

i recalled rue making sure i got home safely. i grabbed my phone from my bedside table seeing it was 2 in the afternoon with several messages from rue, nate and kat.

fuck.

i seen there were 32 missed texts and 20 missed calls from nate.

fuck. i mutter reading the multiple messages from nate jacobs. i hit the call button, hearing one ring.

"where the fuck are you?" nate's extremely angry voice booming through my phone.

"i'm at my house."

"and you couldn't answer a fucking text!"

i clear my throat, "i just woke up. i'm sorry."

"how much did you drink last night? for fuck sakes lei!" he yells at me.

"can you stop yelling at me. i have the worst head ache and you're making me anxious," i whispered.

i heard him let out a breath, "i should have just taken you home last night." his voice a bit softer but still angry.

"i'm sorry nate, i'm home and i'm safe. like i'm already fucking stressing cause i don't know what i'm gonna wear-" my voice breaks as my eyes get teary.

"i'll be over in a couple minutes." and before i could respond the line went dead.

i seen a text from rue saying call me if ur alive, so i dialed her.

"hello?" rue says.

"i feel dead but i'm alive."

"oh i know the feeling."

i put my phone on speaker as i walk to my bathroom, "thanks for bringing me home, rue i appreciate it."

"that's what friends are for," she says and i smile as i wet my tooth brush.

"i'm gonna let you go, but i'll see you monday."
