REMUS' COTTAGE WAS EXTREMELY COSY. It was small, sure, but the warm feeling inside made up for it. It didn't have much furniture in it, but the furniture that it did have seemed worn out, showing years upon years of usage. There were a few photographs hanging on the walls, mainly above the fireplace. Photographs of Remus when he was a young boy standing with his parents (who he had told Dawn about when he spotted her staring at the photo), as well as some of him during his teen years with his old band of friends (Peter Pettigrew; the traitor, Sirius Black and James Potter; Harry's dad).

"It's not much..." Remus' voice broke Dawn's gaze from the photos.

"But it's lovely," The redhead finished for him, sending him a warm smile. She noticed a small, but genuine, smile appearing on Remus' tired face, "Are you going to be okay...alone?" Dawn questioned, looking up at him with worried eyes.

Even though she had promised him that she wouldn't be there when he transitioned, and instead, she'd take care of him in the morning, she couldn't help but feel like she should be there, because if she wasn't then he'd be all alone. Of course, she knew he had managed to get through all of his other transitions fine, but worry still lingered on her mind.

Remus sent her a reassuring smile as he took a step closer, "I'll be okay," He nodded, reaching his hand up to touch the side of her face. He couldn't help but smile as he watched Dawn's eyes fluttering shut for a quick moment, her head moving closer to his scarred palm, "I promise."

"I know, I just can't help but worry," Dawn confessed as she took a small step forwards. She loved being close to him, his presence gave her a lot of comfort, she just hoped that her presence could do the same for him; and it did, even just knowing that the redhead was going to be in his cottage, waiting for the morning to come made him feel more at peace, more ready to tackle the night.

"I know," Remus mumbled, nodding understandingly. His thumb stroking the long scar running down her high cheekbone, "I should get going..." He mumbled, his eyes glanced over at the clock mounted on the living room wall, "I'll be okay. I promise," Remus said, looking back at the redhead. He leaned forwards and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, one that caused her whole body to warm up.

"I'll see you first thing in the morning," Dawn promised, grinning at the older man and placing her hand on top of his, squeezing his fingers softly.

"I can't wait."
