MOLLY STUCK TO HER PROMISE, she didn't go over the top with decorating the gazebo, it was simple yet beautiful and the perfect place for Dawn Weasley and Remus Lupin to tie the knot.

Dawn was using Ginny's bedroom to get ready in, but she couldn't help but look out the window,  down below, she could see her family bustling around as they all tried to get the finishing touches sorted. Charlie was standing away from it all, overlooking it with Hope in his arms. Dawn couldn't believe how much the little girl was growing, she even cried when she woke up one day to spot a tuff of bright red hair on her daughter's head. She looked like the spitting image of her mum when she was a baby but thank Merlin she wasn't as fussy as Dawn had been and instead seemed to inherit Remus' calm demeanour.

A knock came from the door and with a panicked look on her face Dawn rushed over to it, "Who is it?" She asked.

"It's me," Arthur announced from the other side. With a sigh of relief, Dawn opened the door for her father before quickly shutting it as soon as he got inside.

"Please tell me you're not going to cry," The woman teased when she saw the look in her father's eyes, "Mum's been doing that all morning. She thinks I haven't noticed but I have."

Arthur chuckled, "I can't promise that," He told her truthfully. Seeing his oldest daughter standing there in her wedding dress made everything feel surreal. It felt like only yesterday Dawn was turning her nose at the thought of marriage, "Do you remember when you were younger?" He suddenly questioned.

Dawn chuckled, "What, when I said I'd rather chop my arm off than get married?"

Arthur laughed at the memory and nodded.

"Yeah, probably shouldn't tell Remus that," The woman grinned sheepishly.

"Too late," Arthur confessed, smiling bashfully at his daughter.

At that very moment Dawn couldn't help but be thankful of Harry. If it wasn't for the young boy, who knows if she would have her father there to walk her down the makeshift aisle. He won't have met his first grandchild. He wouldn't have known Remus was going to become his son-in-law. Suddenly feeling overwhelmed with emotions, Dawn rushed forwards and threw her arms around her father. She squeezed her eyes tightly, not letting any tears leak out from them (Tonks and Ginny told her if she ruined her make-up before the wedding, they'd come after her), "I love you, dad," She muttered into the man's chest, smiling to herself when she felt Arthur tightly wrap his arms around her.

"I love you too, Dawnie," He told her sincerely, pressing a kiss on her forehead. They stayed there for several minutes, just basking in the love and comfort. Part of her felt guilty, guilty that Remus' parents weren't there to experience what her parents did. They couldn't see their only son get married. They couldn't meet their grandchild or their daughter-in-law. She knew how much Remus missed them (even though he wouldn't always admit it) and she just wished that they could be there too. She also wished Sirius could be there, the man who deserved better.

"We better get going..." Arthur sighed, he didn't want this to end (and seemingly, neither did Dawn) but the wedding was suppose to start soon and there was no reason to keep Remus waiting any longer (and getting freaked out that the redhead bailed), "Otherwise I have a feeling that Bill and Fleur will take the open opportunity," Arthur admitted.

Dawn finally pulled away, "So I'm not the only one that noticed the longing stares between the two?" She chuckled. She had noticed the way Bill looked at the French woman, his eyes sparkling with life, a permanent smile on his face whenever they were together, it was obvious that there were feeling between them and Dawn couldn't be happier. She knew Ginny wasn't that fond of Fleur, but in her opinion, it didn't matter what anyone else thought, as long as her brother was happy, she was also happy.

"No, I think your mum's planning their wedding next," Arthur confessed, holding out his arm he grinned at his daughter as she linked her arm around his, "Ready?"

Dawn let out a shaky breath. She could feel her heart hammering violently against her rib cage. Her palms felt clammy as a wave of excitement and anxiety washed over her. She was nervous because she had never worn such an extravagant dress before, with the highest heels she had ever laid eyes upon (which didn't say much as her preferred shoes were boots so anything higher than that seemed like a tower) and walking out in front of everyone caused her knees to buckle slightly. But she couldn't wait for the service to be over. She couldn't wait to finally be married to the love of her life. Sighing happily Dawn nodded, "Ready."
