Maybe I miss you

21. Rainbow fish

A few days had passed since the last time Louis and Harry hang out. It was the ice cream date in the park, although they wouldn't consider this a date, would they? But today the were about to see each other again and spend the entire day together. They wouldn't be alone but Louis was nervous anyway. He cleaned his entire house, got the guest room ready, just in case anyone *cough*Harry*cough* would want to stay for the night and he ordered more food than anybody could eat. He even ordered avocado sandwiches. He still despised avocados but Harry liked them so he got some. Louis was lowkey stressed out which was unusual for him. He was quite chill about hosting any event no matter how big the crowd was, but the knowledge that Harry would be there too made him extremely nervous.

After Louis got everything around the house ready he decided to get ready himself. He settled on some classic blue jeans, a black hoodie, white socks and some white trainers. He felt good about himself and hoped that Harry would like his look too.

Louis: "You ready, bud?"

Finn: "Daddy can I wear my rainbow fish t-shirt?"

Louis: "Of course baby, why not?"

Finn: "A kid in school said that it was just for girls."

Louis got angry but he knew that the kid only repeated what the parents told him and that Finn would be confused if he got angry now, so he tried to stay calm.

Louis: "Well what do you think about the shirt?"

Finn smiled wide.

Finn: "I like it. It sparkles."

Louis: "If you like it then you should wear it no matter what silly kids like the one from school say about it! Go get your t-shirt so we can leave. Hurry!"

Finn went upstairs, got dressed and came back down.

Louis: "Yes boy! I see you! You look great! Give me a twirl."

Finn twirled and couldn't stop giggling, which made Louis heard melt. To know that he was able to make Finn the things he liked was such a great feeling. Louis knew that even though he couldn't be around all the time he was still a good dad because he supported Finn for who he was and loved him unconditionally.

When they arrived at the aquarium they got out of the car and could see everyone that they invited, but Harry. They greeted everyone and Louis went straight to Niall and Liam.

Louis: "Have you seen Harry?"

Niall: "Omg thank you, Louis, we are doing great, how about you?"

Louis looked a bit worried.

Louis: "Niall answer me!"

Liam: "No we haven't seen him, but don't worry he will be there soon."

Louis was still worried that Harry would leave him hanging and don't show up but he tried to hide it, although he did a horrible job. In order to distract him, Niall started a conversation.

Niall: "So how did you invite him?"

Louis: "We did the way you told me to do. Finn drew a picture and we brought it to his house. And he was so sweet ..."

Louis was about to go on about how cute the interaction between Harry and Finn was when he felt a hand on his shoulder and heard a deep voice interrupting him.

Harry: "Who was sweet?"

Harry was standing in front of him. He was wearing tight black jeans and a black button-up that pink feathers all over it.

Louis panicked and said the first thing that came to his mind.

Louis: "Niall!"

Everybody looked really confused, especially Niall. They stood there in silence for a little while until Louis spoke up again.

Louis: "Can we please act like this never happened?"

Niall: "Of course we gonna pretend that you didn't panic when HARRY asked who was sweet and you said my name, which would mean that you talked to me about me being sweet but acted like I wasn't here. So yeah, I think we shout ignore it."

Liam: "Yes Niall."

Liam gave Niall a high five. Harry smiled he liked the thought of Louis talking about him and the fact that he was a bit embarrassed about it made it even cuter.

Tour guide: "Hi guys, I am your tour guide for today. I will show you around and tell you interesting facts about some of the animals. If you have any questions feel free to ask."

They started the tour and everything went great. The only struggle was that Finn couldn't decide if he wanted to drag Louis or Harry along with him. Finn decided to talk to both of them and they didn't mind spending time with Finn and each other. Louis's heart was full. Finn seemed to love Harry and Harry seemed to enjoy being around Finn and taking care of him. Louis had dreamt about things like that for so long. He always wanted Harry to be part of Finn live but there was no way he could have made that possible because they decided to break up stop talking to each other, but now that that was in the past Harry was a part of their lives and Louis was so in love with that thought.

After the tour the went to the souvenir shop.

Harry: "Finn look at that it looks just like the fish on your shirt."

Harry showed Finn a glittery and colourful stuffed animal. Finn's eyes widened and he had a look on his face only kids can have. Finn was completely captivated by the fish.

Finn: "It's so pretty."

Harry: "It is. Do you want to have it?"

Finn smiled the brightest smile the world had ever seen.

Finn: "Yes, please."

Harry went up to the register in order to buy the fish for Finn but Louis interrupted him.

Louis: "You don't have to buy him this fish. I've got it."

Harry: "Lou, stop. I know that I don't have to but I would like to. Is that okay?"

Louis: "But"

Harry: "I haven't been able to spoil him for all these years, so please let me buy him this little fish."

Louis: "Thank you, Harry. I lo ... I appreciate it."

Louis blushed and turned away. He watched from far how Harry handed Finn the fish and how soft he was with him.

After their shopping trip, they went to Louis house to have snacks and end the day with a few drinks, games and laughter.
