a/n: This chapter happens at the same time as the last chapter.

They drove to the beach and Freddie got very excited. He loved going to the beach, it was his favourite thing to do in LA. Harry was also excited but for different reasons. He hoped that he would get the chance to bond with Freddie. Their relationship was very important to him and to Louis.

Harry: "Freddie do you know what a stand-up paddle is?"

Freddie: "No."

Harry: "It's like a surfboard but a bit easier to use. To you wanna try it out?"

Freddie: "Oh yeah. Can I do it alone?"

Harry: "I'm sorry Freddie it's a bit too dangerous for you to do on your own but we can share one and you can do all the work you want. Okay?"

Freddie agreed and they decided to rent a paddle for each of the adults. After they had found a nice place in the shadow where they placed all their stuff they went and rented their stand-up paddles before they made their way to the sea.

Lottie: "Freddie put your lifejacket on."

Freddie: "No, I don't want to."

Lottie: "Freddie! I didn't ask if you want to, you have to put it on before you go into the sea."

Freddie wasn't having it and he threw a tantrum.

Freddie: "But I don't want to and your not my mom or my dad so I don't have to do anything, just because you say I have to."

Lottie: "Freddie! It's for your own safety."

Freddie: "I don't care!"

Lottie gave Harry a look and rolled her eyes, she didn't know how to get Freddie to wear his lifejacket. Harry decided to help her out.

Harry: "First of all, be nice to Lottie. She talked nice with you and you have no right to give her that attitude. Second of all, your dad and your mom are not here with us that means that we are responsible for you, so if Lottie says that you have to wear your lifejacket before you can go swimming then you have to wear your lifejacket before you can go swimming. If you don't want to that's fine but you can not go in the water or on the paddle without it. Okay?"

Freddie crossed his arms and almost started to cry, which made Harry feel a bit guilty but he knew that he had to support Lottie, because she was right.

Freddie: "But that's unfair."

Harry: "No it's not. So are you gonna put on your lifejacket or not?"

Freddie rolled his eyes and let out an annoyed sight but decided to but on his lifejacket.

Harry: "Thank you."

After that the got in the water and started paddling to the horizon. After a while, Freddie had stopped being a little diva and acted like nothing had ever happened and it made Harry smile because it reminded him of Louis. When he got into an argument with Louis and Louis realised that he was wrong he would act all annoyed for a little while before dropping the act and acting like nothing ever happened. When they had enough from the paddling they decided to just stay where they were and enjoy the sea and the sun when Freddie started to ask a few questions. Meanwhile, Lottie and Gemma had a conversation of their own.

Freddie: "Harry, do you have kids?"

Harry laughed.

Harry: "No, not yet."

Freddie: "Why not?"

Harry: "Well, I guess I haven't found the right person to have children with. Why are you asking?"
