~Elliott POV~

Elliott waved to his dad who reciprocated before entering his daughter's room with a look of determination. Elliott knew he shouldn't have listened in, but he was worried about her. If something happened to Grace, it would've been his fault.

"Grace, I need you to put this on." Their father urged her. He looked in to see him holding Grace's old magic restraining bracelet.

"No, I don't need that anymore." Grace refuted.

"It is not a request, Grace!" Klaus snapped.

"Dad, you said it yourself, I'm strong." Grace continued. "I can control myself."

"You can't." He insisted. "Not with this. I lived with that darkness for seven years. I know how awful it can be. You cannot handle it."

"But Elliott can, right?" Grace asked bitterly.

"Grace that isn't—"

"Yeah it is!" Grace snapped. "He doesn't get a bracelet, but he took just as much of The Hollow as I did."

"Elliott is—"

"What? More powerful than me?" Grace raged. "I guess I am the worst child to you! I killed Hayley! I am the reason you couldn't be with mom! And what about what happened between you and Elliott? It was me, right? WASN'T IT? ELLIOTT HATES US BECAUSE OF ME! I RUIN—"

"Stop!" Elliott interjected, causing the two of them to turn to him. "Gracie, this isn't you. You know it's not. You are the better child. And sibling. Because you would never ask me to put myself in as much danger as I asked you to. I ruined your life."

"Ellie—"

"Please wear the bracelet." He asked. "At the very least it will give us time to help fix you."

Grace could see the concern in her brother's eyes and realised that The Hollow really was affecting her in ways worse than she could see.

"If I put this on, do you promise to stop worrying?" She asked him.

"I'm your big brother. I'll never stop worrying." Elliott said with a wry chuckle.

"Fine." She took the bracelet from her father and put it on, turning to her dad with a dismissive look. "Feel better? Or were you planning on hovering over me until the end of time?"

"Well the end of time is a bit extreme..." Klaus said with a chuckle.

"Thank you, Dad." She said as she gave him a warm hug before turning to her brother. "Dad, could you—"

"Of course." He kissed the two of them on the top of their heads before leaving them alone.

"Elliott...you didn't make me do anything." Grace told him.

"Gracie—"

"No, I'm serious." She insisted. "I was gonna do it. I was gonna do it on my own."

"What?"

"I heard you talking to Freya after your mom's funeral." She confessed. "You didn't want Aunt Freya to dedicate her life to helping me. I felt selfish for asking. So I went home and I started working on a spell of my own."

Grace fished around her dresser until she was able to pull out a piece of parchment paper to give to him. He examined it and realised that his sister was going to attempt a very dangerous spell with dangerous magic.

"Grace, this would've killed you." Elliott said in shock. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because you would've told me no." She replied with a shrug. "I'm only telling you now so you don't beat yourself up about this whole thing. I would've done the same thing. With or without you."
