2: How I started working with them

The next couple of weeks went by so fast with the extra workload. Thankfully my meeting with Jinyoung went peacefully, I hoped I had made a good first impression. As I thought of that time, another memory crossed my mind. I had reached out to the boys a year before through the fansite. -Well, I only had the pleasure of emailing their manager-. I asked for permission from their manager to send them gifts on their birthdays and such. Of course, I was instructed to send it to the company because they'd be crazy if they gave out their personal addresses. I had sent homemade birthday cakes and handwritten letters with customized envelopes. Everything I did was personalized for each member. The letters were written by me but addressed from everyone registered in the fansite.

Some people reached out through the website and thanked me. I thought they were just some random fans thanking me for always mentioning them in my letters. But they knew way too much information, so I assumed they were sasaeng and warned to kick them out. But then, Bambam admitted that it was him and sent a photo of his cats in his living room through personal messages. Even though he exposed the other accounts whom I also presumed were sasaeng after all the personal information they shared with me. Sometimes they'd slip and talk about their schedules and twist the truth with jokes. I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it.

They had even sent me a gift on my birthday. It was an emerald gem necklace, small but very beautiful. I never took it off, a part of me wanted to believe it was them. They sent a birthday card along with it as they all signed it. I was still in denial thinking it was probably fake. Or someone wanting so desperately to do role play. Whatever the reason, I hadn't interacted with them since. Maybe just one account that was supposedly Mark's was the one I was still in touch with. The owner of that account had lived in LA just like me and Hannah, we shared a few memories from our childhood there. Sometimes they'd send me random photos of "Milo" but never Mark's face so I assumed they were roleplaying but it was nice having him, we vented to one another, confided in one another about work, life and families. We just clicked.
That is why I almost visibly panicked when Jinyoung mentioned that I was familiar. Made me think of the possibilities of them being those anonymous accounts that kept sharing random personal information and requesting me to show my face.

"Oh my god SU!!" Hannah came in running to my empty station. "You will not believe what just happened!" She sounded extra excited. I laughed along with her cute giggles.

"Tell me." I waited for her to speak.

"We got a job at JYPE" she screeched and I had to put a hand on her mouth to keep her from disturbing clients in the other room. "We were REQUESTED!!" I just stood there stunned and out of words to say.

"Ms. Kwon. I see you have received the news?" Mrs. Hwang walked in. I nodded politely. "Now, these are two big companies, two huge groups. I need to know if you are facing any type of difficulties or inconveniences." She looked back and forth between me and Hannah. "So, I ask that you keep me updated. I believe that you will do wonders." She said and we nodded politely but I could not stop myself from asking.

"My apologies Mrs. Hwang. I only heard of JYPE. We don't know which group, nor do we know anything about another company." She laughed a little.

"With that much excitement.." She drifted off. "You're both working for Got7 at JYPE and BTS in BigHit. You have been requested in both." I almost choked.

BTS! THE BIGGEST BOY GROUP IN THE WORLD! Requested US?!

"Now, you know. Each of you will select her team so choose wisely. And if you face any conflict, do reach out." Hannah nodded to her. "Congratulations again. Make us proud." She bowed and we bowed back before she disappeared. Once she was out of sight, me and Hannah started to screech, squeal and scream like wild kids.

"You know what this means, right?" Hannah asked. I looked confused. "You have to loosen up. You cannot be so timid and uptight around them." I rolled my eyes.

"You know how I am when meeting new people. Especially when they're the opposite sex. And in this line of work, it's never good to open up your mouth, it's best if you're mute." I said as a hint of anxiety rushed through me. "But.. we should not be worried about that. They'll barely have the time to notice us. Let's just do a job well done and leave." I told her.

"This is exactly my point. You're always like that around men in general. Even when Jinyoung came in that day, you didn't make a move. You didn't even speak to him. He did all the talking." She had a point. I never knew how to handle male clients. I was always better with females, men made me nervous. And as polite as Jinyoung was, I still couldn't bring myself to approach him in any way. I was never good at interacting with men, not when it's face to face. I'd always prefer indirect contact through emails, my website, SNS and such. I'm a shy person, believe it or not. That is why I chose this profession. It literally required me to keep quiet and only speak when spoken to. I would compliment female clients because they like that and it wouldn't be considered as flirting or sexual harassment. I was just so lost in my thoughts about my social awkwardness.
"Even if I tried to talk.. Han, they probably wouldn't even notice us. So what's the point?" I sighed. "Don't get your hopes up. You have been reading way too much fan-fiction." I told her with a slight chuckle.

(A/N: I know, the irony of that last quote.)
