"Congrats, love!" Sinalubong ako ni Gian sa baba ng stage at niyakap. I won a gold and silver medal for this year's conference and I'm proud of myself for reaching this far.
I smiled while holding my phone to take a selfie of us. Malawak ang ngiti ko sa Gian na nakapatong ang baba sa aking balikat ngayon. Gian stayed sa condo for a couple of days. Ilang gabi siyang natulog sa sofa sa labas at wala namang iniangal. Alam pala ni Sir Cabral na pupunta siya at planado talaga ang surpresa niya.
We spent time together watching movies and going around different places near the tower condo. Bumalik pa kami sa Intramuros at nagpicture ng sobrang dami.
"You did great! I told you mananalo ka.." aniya. I kissed his cheek and smiled widely.
"Thank you! You're the best," I exclaimed.
A few moments after that I checked my phone at may notification na nagpop sa screen ko.

'Congrats, love. Well deserved.' Nakalagay sa caption. I smiled and shared it to my IG story as well at bumaha ng messages sa story na iyon galing sa mga kaibigan kong mga chismosa.
That was our last day in Manila at kinabukasan ay umuwi na din kami. Before the awarding ceremony even started ay naka-impake na kami pabalik ng Cebu para aalis nalang kami kinabukasan.
The remaining months was just me and Gian being busy about our studies. Pa third year na siya as Med Tech student at ako naman ay pa-college na. Ilang beses na akong tinanong kung gusto ko bang mag-aral sa manila but I declined and entered an entrance exam sa university ni Gian.
There were times na sa coffee shop na kami nagdedate ni Gian dahil kinailangan ko mag-review para sa entrance exam at siya naman ay sa mga subjects niya. We had to compromise to have a decent date and I think studying together is a great date.
"Do you think you'll pass?" Tanong ni Gian sa'kin. Nandito kami sa café ni ate Gem at ngayong araw lalabas ang results ng mga nakapasa sa exams. Kinakabahan ako dahil isang university lang ang sinubukan kong exam-an.
"I don't think I did well nung exams," napahilamos ako sa mukha ko at frustrated na sinuklay ang buhok ko.
Hawak ni Gian ang iPad niya kung saan lalabas ang mga results mamaya, I suggested na siya nalang ang sumilip dahil baka masaktan lang ako sa dulo sa resulta.
I covered my eyes with my hands and felt the loud beating of my heart. I never thought it would scare the hell out of me like this.
"It's already time for them to release the results. You ready?" Tanong nito.
I shook my head slowly and nodded it bilang pagbawi. Well, I had to be ready. Sana lang ay kahit pasang awa ay nareach ko, medyo mataas ang standards ng university na 'yon at sobrang nakakapraning dahil halos lahat ng isinagot ko sa exam ay hindi ko sigurado.
