Chapter 37: WE SPEAK AMERICAN!

Marcey's p.o.v.

Maria was a little worked up over the whole thing about the demon blowing up. so she asked me to drive.

I mean it was okay I guess. when you didn't have a howler monkey sitting right behind you! "OH MY GOD!! LOOK A BIRD!" It took all of my will power not to turn around and stab Alfie with an angel blade.

"That's not a bird you idiot! It's a bat!" Ethan was correcting Alfie loudly may I add. I growled and turned the radio to a classical music station. they were hard to find but I found it!

"What the hell! This is gonna make me go to sleep!"

I sighed "That's kinda the plan Alfie!"

He scoffed "Won't you crash!"

I shook my head "I don't fall asleep when I'm listening to music; it was one of the ways I stayed awake to study."

He nodded "Whatever!"

I slammed the button to a heavy metal station and said "Better?!?"

He held up his hands "Okay okay calm your tits!"

That was one of the final straws the other was "Oh my god Marcey just calm down!"

" Eso es todo! si usted puede aprender a respetarme que en ir a parar y todos ustedes pueden caminar y ver lo lejos que usted consigue! Me has hecho niñera idiotas! Ahora cállate antes de tomar te callas permanentemente!" No one said anything at that point. I smiled "Everyone understand?"

I than heard Alfie giggle and than "THIS IS AMERICA YOU HEAR! WE SPEAK AMERICAN NOT YOUR DAMN MEXICAN!"

I was about to slam the breaks when Maria spoke up "Alfie calm down please. I need to rest up so I can drive tomorrow."

Alfie shut his mouth and I sighed. I turned up the heavy metal station and stared out the window at the road. there was a lot of things unanswered about us all. I mean why us?

I mean Maria wasn't even part of the generation of prophets. did that angel hide her for a reason. or did they just not know. I wonder which tablet was opened. that's the only reason she would be awakened right?

It didn't matter right now all that mattered was killing that demon that was after my friends. who were now my family. I'm just glad none of us have a ghost following us or a very weird past. I mean we know all about each other.

Or do we? I didn't even know I could see freaking Angels or demons. when the first demon showed up I never saw his face. or did I? I mean I could have just been used to demon faces I mean I probably saw tons.

But why my mom. she was like the most normal person ever. well besides the fact that she was probably insane. I looked at the clock. it was 2:37 am. woah I had been driving awhile.

Everyone else was asleep. I changed the channel to a rock one and this is gospel came on. I smirked this used to be one of my favorite songs. I mean it was weird but eh what isn't I mean this is a freaksquad after all.

A talking walking freak show. fun. well at least it could get any worse. wait "shit!"

Maria woke up and said
"what's wrong?"

I sighed "I just friggen jinxed us."

she laughed "Not possible we are probably some of the most unlucky people whatever is going to happen isn't because you jinxed us. your too superstitious."

I smiled "True my friend, true." I heard a grumble from the back.

I turned off the music "what?"

Ethan threw his hands in the air "Thou shall hath no chick flick moments!!"

I chuckled "Says you! Your living one Jacob!" He mumbled something about how I must have been some ugly little fledgling angel.

I stuck out my tongue "You're just jelly that I'm so fab and you so eh."

He sat up and said "Oh my god! You did not just say that!"

I smirked "Yea I did! Whatcha gonna do about it!" He said nothing. I then realized he went back to sleep.

I turned to Maria she was asleep as well. I wonder why I wasn't tired. well I never got that tired when I went to sleepovers and stuff so I guess that helped. I smiled when I sat the sun staring to rise "Good morning USA!"
