(This is based on the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier)

(Y/N)'s POV:

"How are you, (Y/N)?" My therapist asked as I just sat there thinking about how to answer this question. If I answer too quickly with something like, 'I'm fine.' or 'good." Then she will write something down in the notepad of hers. If I don't answer with something at all then she will write something down like how I am avoiding talking about how I am really feeling. Which is true.

So, I just sat there and smiled. "You are avoiding answering the question aren't you," She said as I rolled my eyes. She then picked up the notepad and wrote something down. "I don't understand why you need to use that thing so much. I am perfectly fine," I said as she then wrote some more. "Seriously?" I asked as she just closed the notebook and looked at me.

"Just answer me honestly," She said as I shook my head and got up. "No, I think we are done here," I said as I picked up my hoodie and walked out. As I stormed out I slammed into someone walking in.

"Sorry," I said as I looked at him and then continued to walk out. "It's fine," He said as he helped me up.  I left and then went to go get something to eat.

I loved eating out after I went to therapy since I most likely went to therapy because of-. Never mind, that's not important right now. What is important is getting sushi and eating by myself so that later I can have a tummy ache which will get me to think about something other than what made me go to therapy today.

I ordered my food and then sat at the sushi bar. "You ordered a lot. Is someone else joining you?" The waitress asked as I stuffed my face alone. "No. Can't a girl just sit alone and eat till her heart gives out?" I asked as she awkwardly just walked away.

I then started to cry. I think I was having a panic attack. "Are you okay?" A man asked as he walked up to me. "Yeah. I just needed a good cry I guess," I said as I then looked up at the man and he was the guy I have ran into at my therapist session.

"Hey! You are the guy I ran into earlier. Sorry about that by the way," I said as he smiled. "It's fine. You look like you could use a drink. Mind if I buy you one?" He asked as I nodded and then offered for him to sit with me.

"So, what are you seeing that horrible woman for?" I asked as he nearly choked on his beer. "Pardon?" "The therapist. What are you seeing her for?" I asked again as he nodded. "It's a long story," He said as he frowned and then took a sip of his beer.

"Believe me. My story is longer," I said as he smiled. "Wanna get out of here and talk about it?" He asked as I nodded and then paid the bill for my food and he bought the drinks.

We walked together towards my apartment. "So, tell me your story, Mr." "Barnes. Bucky Barnes," He said as I nodded. "(Y/N) (L/N)" I said as I pointed to myself.

"Well, I don't think I can tell you the honest reason why because you might think I am insane," He said as I laughed. "Believe me. I won't. I used to live in a really big place. You might know it as the Avenger Tower. Anyway, I lived there with my best friend, Tony Stark, and my sister, Natasha. Long story short, some shit went down and now they are both dead. So, I go to therapy," I said as he smiled at me.

"Why are you smiling? I just told you my deepest darkest secret and you are smiling?" "My best friend is Captain America," He said as I just stopped walking and looked at him. "No, that can't be. You are not the winter soldier! You have short hair! And you don't have a metal arm!" I said as he removed his glove to show me the shiny metal.

"Wow, so you are going to therapy to fix your mind or something?" I asked as we continued to walk. "Yeah, or something," He said as I nodded.

We continued our walk all the way to my apartment door. "Thank you for sharing that with me, Bucky," I said as I kissed him on the cheek. "I know this might sound weird. But, can I possibly get your phone number?" He asked as I nodded and then went inside my apartment to give him a piece of paper with my number on it.

"Great! Thank you. I will definitely be giving you a call later," He said as he walked away.

Later that night, around 4 am. I was sitting in bed just catching up on some reading when my phone started to ring.

"Hello?" "(Y/N)? I know it's late but can you come over? You are the only person I trust," Bucky said as I agreed, and then he texted me his address.

I showed up and he was only wearing his boxers and dog tags he also had a soccer game playing on his tv. "Soccer fan?" I asked as I pointed to the glowing screen. "Not really. I just had it on because it was so quiet," He said as I nodded.

I looked around and he had a pillow with some blankets on the floor. "Bed too soft?" I asked as he nodded. I then went to his bedroom and grabbed some more blankets and pillows. I made a small fort in his living room.

"Do you have any snacks?" I asked as he pointed to the kitchen. I smiled and then grabbed some popcorn along with some beers. I turned on some Disney movies and then got into the fort with him.

We were just sitting there in silence when I then looked at him and he was asleep. I put his head on my lap and rubbed his temples while he slept. I made sure I stayed the night and that he slept through the whole night without nightmares.

In the morning, I left and went back to my apartment. As far as Bucky was concerned, I slept peacefully with him last night. But the truth is that I haven't slept in 48 hours. The headache was finally setting in so I went to bed.

"Let me go, it's okay," Natasha said as I held onto Clint's belt and held onto her tightly. I watched her fall to her death and then Clint and I woke up at the bottom of Vormir holding the Soul Stone.

I woke up in my bed in a cold sweat and was panting as well as crying. I called my therapist and then walked to her office.

"How did you sleep?" She asked as she reached for her notebook. "Alright, let's cut the bullshit. You are obviously going to write in that notebook no matter what I say so let me just tell you the truth. I can't sleep without seeing my sister fall to her death and I slept for the first time in 2 days because I met someone that made me feel safe to do so but I was wrong and nothing is ever going to change that," I said as she put the notebook down and looked at me waiting for me to say something else.

I sighed and then got up and stormed out of her office again.

On my way out, I slammed into Bucky again. "Wow, we have great timing," I said as he laughed and helped me up again. "Come, walk with me," I said as he nodded and I took him by the hand.

I told him what I told the therapist and he told me about the innocent man he killed and how he now has lunch with the man's father every day because it seems to be the only thing helping with his guilt. But, he also can't find a way to stop the nightmares.

"I will tell you this, though," He started as I looked up at him with eager eyes as we walked hand in hand around town. "I didn't have any nightmares last night after you showed up," He said as I smiled, and then he offered to come to my place tonight so that I could get some sleep with him next to me so maybe my nightmares would go away.

I agreed and then he came over to my house and a few weeks later, he moved in since now neither of us can sleep without the other one present.
