I WAS SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED when Stiles asked me if we could postpone date night tonight. Actually scrap that, I was pretty gutted. He had told me he'd forgotten about a birthday party he said he'd attend. I didn't know who's party it was, all I knew was that they lived a block away. I tried not to let it get me down — that he was cancelling our date to go to some party — but I couldn't really help it. I'd had tonight planned down to a T and now I felt as if my plans were being ruined.

But even if our date had being cancelled what was stopping me from telling Stiles I loved him? What was stopping me from telling him I was ready? Nothing.. and that's what I told myself. Our night wasn't completely ruined.

I decided to wear what I'd planned on wearing for our date, a short, pastel pink glittered, body-con dress and a denim jacket and my short heels. I didn't care how cold it was outside, I was wearing that dress.

Stiles seemed to love it as he smiled at me and pressed a kiss to my forehead before telling me how amazing I looked. I couldn't help but kiss him in response and by the time he'd guided me blindly over to his bed someone was knocking on the door downstairs.

I groaned loudly in annoyance and grabbed my purse, charging out of Stiles' bedroom and down the stairs. I could hear Stiles laughing softly as he followed me and I opened the front door quickly, scaring Scott as I slapped his arm in annoyance before trudging down the drive and walking up the street.

"Wrong way, Alex!" Stiles called to me and I had no option but to turn back on myself, walking over to the two of them as they grinned at me. I shook my head, attempting to walk between them to get ahead but Stiles grabbed my hand and tugged me back, holding it as the three of us walked down the block to this party.

"What?" Stiles said then and I glanced to meet him with a confused frown. He met my gaze and shook his head, "Not you, Scott."

"What do you mean 'what'?" Scott asked him.

"I mean what and you know what." Stiles replied.

"What what?" Scott said.

"I am so confused right now." I mumbled to myself.

"That look you were giving." Stiles said to Scott.

"I didn't give a look." Scott defended.

Stiles looked to him as we walked down the street, "Oh, there was a distinct look, Scott."

"What look?" Scott asked incredulously.

"The look that says that the last thing you feel like doing right now is going to a party." Stiles said to him.

"It's not that." Scott said to him, It just seems weird going to a different high school's party."

"I agree." I nodded, "And considering we weren't even supposed to be coming to said party."

"I know all right, I'm sorry." Stiles apologised to me again, "Just one drink, all right? I went to nursery school with this girl and I promised her I'd come. She even said she'd introduce you to all of her friends. So tonight, no Allison."

I sighed to myself, shaking my head as I looked down to the sidewalk. I really didn't feel comfortable going to this party. I didn't want to go. Hearing Stiles saying he'd promised this girl — whoever she was — that we'd go to her party knowing Friday's were our date nights didn't sit right with me. What also didn't sit right with me was that Scott was waiting downstairs yet Stiles had only told me fifteen minutes ago we were going to this party.

"Hey, Scotty." I wondered out loud then as the two went back and forth about my friend moving on.

"Yeah?" He asked me.
