I HATED WORLD HISTORY. It was hands down the most boring class ever—in my humble and non-bias opinion. Our teacher was boring, the syllabus was boring and the people in the class were boring. It just wasn't the place to be first thing on a Monday, in fact I couldn't think of any place worse to be except maybe Harris' class.

What didn't help was the fact I woke up with a migraine this morning and no amount of aspirin or any other pain relief could take this pain away. I was tired and I was quite frankly sick. I didn't want to be here, sat next to Stiles as he pestered Scott and our teacher handed out our graded papers.

"If Derek isn't the Alpha—if he's not the one who bit you then who did?" Stiles asked our friend, leaning forwards on his desk to get closer to him.

I sat forwards on my desk, my head resting on my arms as I used them as a pillow and listened.

Scott looked back and shrugged his shoulders as he appeared to be thinking. It wasn't long before he answered though, "I don't know."

"Did the Alpha kill the bus driver?" Stiles asked.

"Probably." I muttered tiredly, yawning.

Scott shook his head after looking my way, "I don't know."

Stiles sat back in annoyance before he sighed heavily. I watched him in his silence and I saw the gears turning in his head until he sat forwards quickly to talk to Scott again and I rolled my eyes.

"Does Allison's dad know about the—"

"—I don't know!" Scott snapped. He turned fully in his seat as he retaliated in an outburst.

Everyone in the class turned to him to look as his voice carried over the silence but no one said anything to him.

"Miss. Anderson." Our teacher called to me and I pulled myself up on the desk and looked to see him standing by me. He gave me one of those looks of disapproval before handing me my paper back but I didn't know why he appeared so disappointed in me.

When I took the paper out of his hands he passed me to hand Stiles' his and I looked to see a B written and circled in red pen. I was genuinely shocked with the grade. For as much as I claimed to hate World History I seemed to be doing well in it— no thanks to my tutor. There was no comment written and Stiles turned to me with gleaming eyes to see what mark I'd been awarded. He had been my tutor and silently I turned the paper so he could see it and his eyes lit up.

"Alex that's great." He said to me in a quiet voice and with a bright smile.

"I know." I smiled back, "Thank you."

He only grinned at me and the both of us turned to see how Scott had gotten on only I saw a circled D- on his page with the comments 'not like you' and 'see after class' written in block capitals. I silently rubbed my lips together, the tinted balm I was wearing making it easier for me and I remained silent. You couldn't blame Scott— he had bigger things on his plate to worry about right now but still I felt for him.

"Dude, you need to study more." Stiles said to him, pointing out the obvious as he leaned forward.

Scott held his hands up in frustration before dropping the test back on his table.

"Stiles." I muttered to him quietly. Now really wasn't the time.

"That was a joke." He said to us both, "Scott, it's one test. You're gonna make it up. Do you want help studying?"

Scott sighed before he shook his head, "No. I'm studying with Allison after school today."

Stiles brows rose and he recoiled his head back before he scoffed in amusement, "That's my boy."
