I WAS BACK ON THE BLEACHERS with Allison the next day, the two of us deciding to go along to watch practice and talk. I had a feeling I'd be spending a lot of time on these bleachers given my friends new interest in Scott McCall but I didn't mind. I enjoyed lacrosse practice a lot more than what I thought I would and I liked to show my support towards Scott and Stiles — even if Stiles never did leave the bench. It was the first scrimmage today and coach was deciding who was going to make this seasons team, maybe Scott and Stiles would get their chance this year.

"So.. get up to anything interesting lately?" I asked Allison casually.

"Uh yeah." She replied, "I hit a dog."

My jaw dropped and I turned to her, "You hit a dog?" I asked her incredulously, "What happened? Is it all right?"

"I'm fine." Allison said to me sarcastically with a smile, "Thanks for asking but yeah, she's okay. I took her to the animal clinic."

"Did you now?" I mused, my brow arching as I looked to my friend. Scott was working on the late shift at the animal clinic last night and I knew that because Stiles and I dropped him off there after we went hunting for his inhaler. I looked to my friend as he finished putting his gear on, talking to Stiles, "I'm sure the dog is perfectly fine then."

"Yeah." Allison nodded and I turned back to see her trying to smile through a blush, "Scott gave her a splint, he was amazing."

"Yeah?" I asked in amusement. Scott and Allison in the animal clinic last night? Amazing. He liked her, she liked him it was a recipe for perfection, "Anything happen?"

"He asked me to Lydia's party tonight." She muttered sheepishly.

I sighed with pure bliss, "Tell me you said yes?"

"I did." She nodded, her eyes glued on the back of his head.

"That's cute." I told her, smitten with the idea of the both of them, "You guys are cute."

She paused her hair behind her ear and shook her head, "We're just friends." She said to me.

"Okay." I nodded, not believing a word she was saying to me. I looked out across the pitch, "So you're just friends but you're going on a date tonight, makes perfect sense."

"Alex." She sighed with a smile and I held my hands up innocently.

"I get you." I said to her, "But I won't say I'll be surprised if by this time next month you're dating."

She shook her head bashfully and I butted my shoulder into hers lightly as I chuckled. Allison cleared her throat, "What about you? What've you been up to?"

I hesitated, pressing my lips together while looking to the backs of Scott and Stiles. I watched as Scott moved his head fractionally to the left, as if he was straining to hear better and I remembered him telling Stiles and I he could hear things. I had no doubt that Stiles had told him all about how I'd stopped over at his house last night.

I woke up this morning sharing a bed with Stiles, my childhood best friend and while I'd shared a bed with boys before waking up next to him felt completely different. It was like I could still feel his hand as it rested on my hip, remember how easily my body fit against his. I could still hear his heart beating in my ear as I woke up lying on his chest.
