SCOTT AND STILES threw their body weight into pushing the double doors open again only to fail like they had done the first time. I could feel my heavy breaths, hear them loudly in my ears as I struggled more and more to inhale. Panic wasn't something I was subjected to often — once or twice after I awoke from a nightmare and didn't know where I was, or after what went down in the video store but I could honestly say I wasn't the type of person to panic.

Now, staring into the face of death I was tipping the scale further and further, sliding down to a full blown panic attack.

I didn't know what to do, I couldn't stand still on my feet so while Scott and Stiles tried the door again I bounced up and down on my heals nervously. I looked behind us, searching down the hall for any signs of the four legged monster that was trapping us here before back to the doors.

"What the hell?" Stiles muttered in confusion.

"What?" I asked quickly, "What's going on?"

Scott pushed the door open enough for him to squeeze his head through the crack and he pulled it back through quickly to face us, "It's a dumpster."

"A dumpster?" I questioned him, my brows furrowing as I bounced nervously, shaking my hands, "Why-why-why is there a dumpster there?"

"He pushed it in front of the door to block us in." Stiles said to me before he forced his body weight into the door again, "Come on, help me."

I rushed forwards to push on the blue doors, putting all my weight into opening them but Scott grabbed Stiles and pulled him away quickly, "You guys stop!"

I turned to Scott, "We can't stop!" I snapped quietly, my voice a harsh whisper, "Scott we have to get out of here!"

"We'll have to find another door." He responded, walking backwards down the corridor we'd just ran up, "There has to be an exit he hasn't blocked."

I met Stiles wide eyes and watched as his shook his head in disbelief. The two of us rushed forwards to follow Scott and I walked closely to Stiles as he snapped, "I'm not dying here. I'm not dying at school."

"We're not going to die!" Scott reassured.

"Yes we are." I exasperated, my eyes wide as I turned my head to look at him, "We almost just did! He was in the same room as us."

Scott only shook his head before saying, "We're not."

"God, what is he doing?" Stiles asked in despair, turning back to look at the doors, "What does he want?"

"Me!" Scott said, "Derek says it's stronger with a pack."

"Yeah, great. A psychotic werewolf who's into teamwork. That's.. that's beautiful." Stiles remarked sarcastically.

"'Cause there's no 'I' in team." I chimed nervously.

Scott stopped walking, holding his arm out over Stiles to stop him too and in turn Stiles grasped the sleeve of my leather jacket. I turned my head to look at the two boys and noticed them looking passed me, out of the wall of windows lined up next to me.

I slowly turned my head to look left out of the windows and saw the black creature stood by the chimney on the roof opposite us. It's red eyes were glowing as vibrant as ever and they gave me chills.

I wanted to scream but I didn't even have it in me to do so. Instead, every part of my body was yelling at me to run.

I didn't even stick around to see what it did next. I listened to my body's instinct, embraced the sudden adrenaline I had and I turned around and ran. I left Scott and Stiles, sprinting in the direction we'd just come from.
