LAST NIGHT TURNED OUT TO BE A MESS. I thought Peter threatening to turn both Stiles and I was bad but Scott had suffered just as bad as us, if not worse. He'd been shot trying to save Jackson from being killed by Derek. The hunters had ambushed the Hale house again and according to Scott, Derek had walked out into gunfire to distract them so Scott could escape. He was missing now, I'd called him several times and he wasn't answering his phone but there was no way that he was dead. Surely.

What really surprised me was that Deaton had saved Scott's life after he'd been shot with a poisonous bullet. How he knew how to deal with something that drastic we didn't know but I was awfully curious to find out how he knew how to heal those types of wounds.

Scott had only gotten back from the animal clinic this morning after passing out there last night. That was when he filled us in on his night and we filled him in on our night. We had problems and big ones at that.

Stiles and I didn't even know that anything was wrong until we decided we'd venture over to Scott's this morning. We hadn't heard anything from our friend but we found that he'd actually lost his phone, hence the radio silence. He was beside himself looking for it though, tearing his room to pieces in a bid to try and find it. To be honest I wasn't even sure he'd heard what Stiles and I had told him because he was too busy looking for his phone.

He sighed again, on his hands and knees as he searched under his bed, "Call it again."

From my seat on Scott's bed, my back resting against the headboard, I met Stiles concerned gaze, "Scott did you hear us when I said Peter wants to bite us?"

"Yes, I heard. I'm putting it on my list of priorities right now."

"Well I hope we're not at the bottom." I grumbled, "It's a long list."

"Alex—" He snapped at me before shaking his head and trying again, "—Can one of you just call my phone again, please."

Stiles sighed and rubbed the back of his head, "It's not here." He said to him but Scott didn't take his answer. He stood up and walked round the other side of his bed, looking under there, "So you lost your phone, why don't you just get a new one?" Stiles then suggested.

"I can't afford a new one." Scott replied.

"Maybe you lost it in the preserve?" I suggested.

"That's great." Scott grumbled sarcastically, "I need my phone. I can't do this alone. We have to find Derek."

I nodded, my stomach twisting in dread at the mention of his name, "I agree."

"Well, A, you're not alone. You have Alex and I." Stiles said, "And, B, didn't you say Derek walked into gunfire? He sounds pretty dead."

"He's not dead." I snapped.

"Argent's plan was to use him to get to the Alpha." Scott said, "They're not going to kill him."

"All right.. so then just let them do what they're planning, you know?" Stiles said, "They use Derek to get Peter, problem solved."

"No." I shook my head, "Problem not solved because then they still have Derek and Scott is still a werewolf."

Scott rose his hand in my direction and dropped it as it he was agreeing with me before saying, "Thank you.. and Peter is going after Allison to find Derek. I can't protect her on my own, which means we need to find Derek first. Just— just help me!" He exasperated, stressed as he continued to search for his phone.

"It's like Alex said, you either lost it in the preserve or when you two were fighting." Stiles said, "Remember that, when he was trying to kill you?"
