"Ugh.." She lowly grumbled, lowering the scissors down from the long gathered bunch of hair.
"If you wanted to cut your hair, you could've asked." Her brother spoke, from behind. He noticed the mess that was her trying to cut her hair, and he sighed. She didn't answer and only looked at him through the mirror with a hint of pleading eyes, "Okay, gimme the scissors."
Walking further into the bathroom, he took the comb Miku owned and started to remove the hair bands that sectioned off where she wanted to cut. She handed him the hair scissors, and patiently waited.
"How far up?" He asked.
"Just over here." She answered, bending her arm to point just below her shoulder blade. With a firm nod, Shōta carefully separated sections of her hair so he could cut them evenly. "Since when did you learn how to cut hair?"
"Do you think I like having obnoxiously long hair like Yamada?" He lightly joked, making her smile towards the mirror. "The idiot's got more hair than you."
"Pfft– Highly doubt that." She protested, feeling the weight of hair slowly decrease as her brother kept cutting. "Y'Know, my hair stopped doing that weird floaty thing yours does."
"I noticed, during the training camp." He said, thinking back to the time he tasked her with arduous tasks go do with her Erasure. "I seriously don't understand why it happens..."
"Me too. Maybe it's to do with some old quirk inheritance thing from a generation or two ago." She suggested, which was probably their only answer as to why. "Like a bit of a hair floating quirk that was embedded into it."
"Possibly, but we'll never know." He said, as he placed the now cut hair into the plastic bag she had on the toilet lid. He then levelled the scissors again and started to cut.
'I didn't think Yamada would be right... If I cut her hair any shorter, she'll look like me when I was a student.' He thought, after taking the last few strands and cutting it off. He then took the chance to level it out and make it look neat. Standing up straight, he placed the hair scissors back onto the side of the sink.
"And now you have less hair." Shōta stated, lightly brushing himself down from any other stands of hair. Whilst Miku combed through her hair and admired her brother's work.
"Thanks Nii-san." She said with a smile, now taking a hair tie to see if any hair wouldn't fit into the high ponytail.
"No problem." He replied, patting her shoulders before walking out of the bathroom. "I put the printed photos and card on your desk by the way."
"Oh really?" She exclaimed, intrigued. Still trying to tie her hair, she treaded out of the bathroom and saw said papers on her desk. "Thanks~"
"Don't stay up too long." He sternly said, turning around with a state. "You still have school tomorrow."
"I won't, promise!" She replied with a grin.
"Good... Take care and sleep well."
"You too." She replied, waving her brother a light goodbye to him.
After fully cleaning her bathroom of loose hair, she finally got to it with writing a card for her best friend. Throughout the next part of the evening, it took her many drafts of what to write in it. Though it finally turned out really nice and quite touching to a degree. After taping or gluing some of the photos she asked her brother to print for her, she took a chance to read through one a last time.
