I had a business meeting but it was with a friend so we decided to go to Canary Wharf for drinks.

As we were at the bar, I noticed Toff, Mimi, James and Miles. I had no idea how they knew Miles but he was a friend of mine as well.

My friend went over to our table and I went over to theirs to say hello.

"Hi guys." I smiled.

"Hi darling." Toff stood up and kissed both my cheeks.

"Hi." Mimi slightly awkwardly kissed both my cheeks as well.

"Long time no see." Miles chuckled as he also kissed both my cheeks and hugged me.

"How do you two know each other?" James asked.

"We met in Paris." Miles stated.

"I was there with a couple friends and, by a happy coincidence, we ran into each other." I elaborated.

"So what brings you here?" Toff wondered aloud.

"I'm actually here on a business meeting with a friend but I saw you guys and thought I'd come say hi."

"Yeah we missed you at my pyjama party." Mimi said slightly passive aggressively.

"Yeah, I just stayed in with Harry."

"You finally got with him?" Miles grinned.

"Yeah he's finally my boyfriend." I laughed and he high-fived me. I turned back to Mimi. "I didn't want things to kick off in any way because I honestly didn't know how I was gonna react to seeing you."

"What do you mean?"

"Obviously I wasn't put in a great position and I didn't want you to feel awkward at your party." I rephrased.

"Avez-vous besoin de parler?" Miles asked me. (Do you need to talk?)

"Non c'est bon." (No, it's okay.)

"On devrait aller boire un verre plus tard." (We should go for drinks later.)

"Oui bien sûr." (Yeah, for sure.) I turned to the others. "I should get back because I am technically working but I will see you all later." I only kissed Miles' cheeks again before walked off to my meeting.

A bunch of people were going on a big night out but Miles and I decided to go out for drinks together first.

"Bonjour." I smiled as I walked over to him.

"Salut." He kissed both my cheeks before I sat down across from him. "Je t'ai apporté du vin." (I got you some wine.)

"Merci." I took a sip.

"C'est agréable de pouvoir parler français avec quelqu'un." He chuckled slightly. (It's nice to be able to actually speak French with someone.)

"Oui. Alors, comment avez-vous été?" (Yeah. So how have you been?)

"J'ai été bien." (I've been okay.) "Attaché avec mon ex." (Hooked up with my ex.)

"Miles!" I scolded slightly. "Non, je n'approuve pas." (No, I do not approve.)

He laughed a little. "C'était inoffensif." (It was harmless.)

"Vous vous remettez ensemble?" (Are you getting back together?)

"Non." He responded quickly. "C'était une erreur unique." (It was a one time mistake.) "En tous cas, parle-moi de ton copain." (Anyway, tell me about your boyfriend.)

"Nous avons traversé une petite passe difficile." (We went through a small rough patch.) "Mais non, nous sommes bons." (But no, we're good.)

"Tu l'aime?" (Do you love him?)
