"Give thanks in all circumstances: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Saying thank you is something we were told to say. We had to use our manners. What does being thankful actually mean? The definition of thankful is someone feeling or showing gratitude.

I once saw a 30 days of Gratitude challenge somewhere online and each day you where asked what is something you are grateful for. A few examples were, what smell, what color, what touch. All these things we have in our lives, we simply pass by them as everyday things that happen. When someone hands us a gift on our birthday or holds a door open for us, we say thank you. But do we say thank you for waking up in the morning? Do we say thank you for being able to talk, or read, or being able to read? Many people may not be able to see, hear, or do the very simple things that another person may not think twice about.

Some have food waiting at home for them, some may not. Some have clean clothes, some may not. No matter what situation we are in. or what kind of life we live, we need to remember to be thankful for what we do have. Even when things go wrong, be thankful for the things that go right!

"Trade your expectations for appreciations, and your whole world changes instantly."

Remember this quote. Living a life where we can remember the little things to be thankful for, we can live a more positive life. By remembering to do this, everyday, we can bring joy into our lives. It truly makes a difference if we can start our day out this way. The moment we start acting like life is a blessing, we start to see that it is beginning to feel like one. Set a goal to find something to be thankful for every morning. Start your day off in a positive way. A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for everything. For every big thing and every little thing in my life. Thank you for the things yet to come! Thank you for helping me to remember to start my day off more positive by remembering the things you give me. Thank you for reminding me to be thankful even when times are tough, when I feel there is nothing to be thankful for. Everyday is a blessing and I need to always remember that. Thank you. In Jesus name, Amen.
