"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work." Philippians 4:1 (NLT)

Siblings. Who here has siblings? Do you always fight or argue? There is always something for your guys to argue about. I know in my house, we always have something.

I have 4 younger siblings. Yeah, I'm the oldest and my siblings always get on my nerves. My sister, Rayna, always complains about not having clothes. My sister, Autumn, always argues with the two younger siblings. My youngest sister Kearney, is very picky eater and likes to throw fits. Last but not least, William. He is the youngest, and yes the only boy. He loves to color, even on places where he shouldn't.

"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Proverbs 15:1 (ESV). Now that I realize it, Many, if not all of our fights start from harsh words. Love among siblings should be a natural thing. You shouldn't put down your siblings or call them names. Keep your siblings close to your heart and respect them. Who remembers the golden rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you scream and yell at your siblings, do you want them to do that back? If you put them down, do you want them to put you down? I don't think so. At least I know I don't. I try my hardest everyday to make sure I am the best sibling I can be.

Love among siblings should be a natural thing. If we want a better relationship with our siblings, it takes you to start. You don't need the last word. You don't need to raise your voice. Philippians 2:3-4 "Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." If you have young siblings, remember to help read the Word to them. Feed them the Word and teach them to love one another. Kindness and forgiveness. Tell your siblings how much you love them.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for my sibling(s). We all love each other and love to spend time together, but sometimes we get upset and we argue. We get mad at them. Lord, help me if I have an anger issue. Don't let me take it out on them. If an issue from school or work, I don't mean to yell at them. When I talk to my siblings, help us not to but-heads all the time. Help us to remember your Word and be kind to one another. Help us to show our love and how much we actually care for each other. In Jesus name, Amen.
