Chapter 31

         Lavender's POV

     We were riding our canoes to the Hybrid Kingdom. Well that was what it said in the map but we didn't see it when we arrived at the spot. Livi looked around "Are you sure the map is not upside down again?" she asked skeptically. Dora looked at the map again "Yes, it definitely is the right area but there are some clouds surrounding the kingdom- SORA STOP IT! IT'S GROSS!" she exclaimed. Sora and Jaxx were both flirting with each other almost all the time when we went on our canoes. "What? Can't you just leave me alone for once, Dora?" he asked and she glared at him "I would if you guys don't have to be so gross about your flirting," she muttered "My big bro is not gross!" Jackie said defending Jaxx. Dora had a "Oh great now my own best friend is turning on me," look. It isn't the first time this happened though, I've seen her use that look many times already. "Maybe it's in the sky," I said trying to change the subject. It seemed to work well a little... "Jack (Jax from The Rainbow Squad) what is wrong with you? First you seem to pick your brother over me and then you seem to not want to hang out with me anymore," Dora complained. This made Jaxx and Sora stop flirting and they look at their siblings. Jackie wore a surprised look on her face for a moment but then she shook it off and had an angry expression "I don't think you understand what's happening, I am just trying to have a family reunion with my big brother but you seem to hate me hanging out with him and hate your big brother!" there was a long silence. Gee, that was cold. Sora looked hurt and Jaxx looked worried "Hey! We don't want any fighting here...so I guess me and Sora are going to back off?" Jaxx asked and Jackie looked guilty "No no no no! It's fine me and Dora are just having one of those conversations where we don't...agree with each other," she said. That was a lot of help. Sora looked very sad "Dora, is that true? That you really hate me?" he asked and she looked guilty and I guess he knew what that meant because he looked like he was going to cry. For the rest of the ride there was complete silence when we suddenly heard music. I wonder where that came from? It didn't take long to find out because Livi shouted "Alex do you really have to blast your music that loud?" "What? The mood is very sad so I have to cheer up the atmosphere a little," she said. Livi gave one of those "Are you from another planet?" looks. I think Livi was trying to distract everyone from sadness too because she stirred up a lot of trouble. SPLASH! "Hey! Don't do that to me you know I'll turn into a fish if I touch water!" cried Alex but she kept going "Make me," she hissed. SPLASH! Alex started getting wetter than she already was. Livi scooped up some more water and splashed it at Alex-the water froze before it went on Alex. Dora has frozen the water "Livi stop splashing!" she said "I knew you couldn't resist helping someone in need~" "What does that mean?!" "Back off Livi!" said Jackie who immediately put her hands on her mouth. But Jaxx looked proud "Great job standing up for someone, Red!" he congratulated (you remembered that he calls her Red do you?) "You want a challenge? Let's see who could freeze or burn the most water I throw at people," said Livi. Everyone looked confused "Livi what do you-HEY!" said Levi as she splashes water on him "Aww nobody wants to protect Levi at all, hahahaha!" she started splashing water at everyone. Everything was great until... *Livi splashes water on Sora* "Alright that's it-" *Dora accidentally freezes Sora but he didn't stay frozen* everyone gasped in horror even Livi. Sora just stood there, he wasn't visibly frozen but he wasn't moving, breathing, or blinking "S-Sora are you okay?" asked Dora but he still stood there, frozen. "You. Froze. Him. You. B***!" said Jaxx. Dora looked like she was going to faint when Jackie defended her "It wasn't her or Livi's fault! Livi can't predict the future and Dora can't have full control on her powers yet!" Jaxx looked like he was going to attack his own sister when he realized what he was about to do and looked guilty "I am sorry...I didn't mean to yell...it's just that I like Sora a lot," he seems both embarrassed and guilty when he said that. Livi put her hands behind her back "And I am sorry I really didn't mean to throw water on everyone," everyone stared at her in shock. They were all surprised "Psyche! Do you think I'll be sorry? But seriously I am "sorry" that I splashed water on everyone," silence, suddenly there was laughter "Hahahahahahahaha!" I didn't know who it came from but then I suddenly recognized that that voice belonged to me. Everyone wondered what I was laughing at when they suddenly laughed as well. "What's, haha, so funny?" "I don't know but it doesn't really matter, what mattes is trying to unfreeze Sora," I said while trying not to laugh, again "Can't we just melt the ice?" asked Zach and Dora shook her head "I felt very competitive when I froze Sora, that meant that the ice is too thick to be frozen, besides if the ice wasn't thick we have to burn him in order to free him," Jaxx looked confused and worried "First of all no one is burning Sora! Second what do you mean by 'free him'?" Dora looked at Jaxx in fear "If he stays like this he might be able to move and turn evil," "Wha-how does ice do this?!" "Legend says that if royalty from the Frost Kingdom uses their powers to freeze a person they will either turn visibly frozen or they will be possessed by the evil frost rage," explained Dora. Jaxx gulped "So is the spirit powerful and what does it want? When will it come out of someone?" "The spirit is powerful because it is the rage of everyone in the Frost Kingdom, it wants vengeance from all the kingdoms so it'll try to attack them all, and it will never let go of the person that it took control of," said Dora "Is there a way to bring it out?" "There is, but many people tried to get the spirit out but it never worked because they kept dying," Dora continues "There are two ways on how to get it out one way is to kill or let it kill it's host, another is for the host to get tired but that is impossible since rage can't be put out easily," said Dora "But that'll mean-" suddenly Sora blinked his eyes "W-where am I? Who am I?" he asked "You are Sora and we are trying to travel into the Hybrid Kingdom-wait aren't you supposed to be...I don't know evil?" "Me evil? What do you mean-" suddenly as if by cue Sora looked angry and started attacking everyone (except for Jaxx, why? You'll see very soon) Sora came and attacked me but I kept on dodging "Sora quit it! This isn't you!" "I am not Sora and you don't know who I am!" he said and kicked me into the water. I thought I was going to drown when Dora froze the water. The ice attracted Sora's attention "Is that?-" "Sorry Sora but I have to do this," said Jaxx as he kicked him. Sora went into the water and he was angry but when he looked at Jaxx his expression changed "Jaxx? No! Don't look at him!" he said and started covering his eyes and ears. "Sora are you still in there?" Jaxx asked as he slowly approached Sora. Sora stopped for a moment-SNAP! Someone took a picture of this and as soon as Jaxx turned around to see who did that Sora shook his head and punched him into the water "Ahh!" Jackie pushed his canoe to him and it caught him "I'm okay!" he said. Sora then jumped very high into the Hybrid Kingdom. "How come Sora attacks us but he didn't attack Jaxx?" asked Light "Because the spirit will only go for the ones that has enraged it so I guess everyone except Jaxx angered Sora in some way?" Jaxx shook his head no "I did do many things to make him angry," he replied "Then I don't know why Sora didn't attack you," she said "But I think I know why," he said and continues "He trusts and knows me better than anyone else," he explained "So what do we do now?" asked Livi "We go into the Hybrid Kingdom, for Sora and for that orb, whatever it takes even if it kills all of us," I said. Livi, Lucri, and Azuri both morphed into creatures that could fly and carry people then they lifted us up into the sky. "We are here now what do we do to blend in?" asked Drake "We just act cruel to each other," said Azuri. There were people everywhere but not the kind of people you think are great they steal, kill, kidnap, scam, lie, and cheat so it's best not to trust anyone here. We were walking for a while and everyone turned to look at us. Why are they looking at us like that? Oh right we have to be mean to each other "Hey Charli, nice shirt where did you get it? From a graveyard?" I asked. Charli turned around and glared at me "I did not, what is up with you Lavender? I thought you were nice!" I wanted to tell her that I was just pretending and she shouldn't take it seriously but I can't because Charli punched me hard "Charli I wasn't trying to fight! I was pretending!" I whispered-shouted and she looked shock "I am sorry!" she said and back away. Livi stepped on Levi's foot whenever he was walking. He ignored it but then as soon as it got worse he whirled around "Would you cut that out?!" "What? Do you mean this?" she stepped on his foot again "Yes that!" "We have to be cruel to each other genius!" she said. He finally caught on "Oh I get it," Dora looked around "What is it Dora?" "The evil spirit will know that we are looking for it and Sora because it'll go after that ones that are most-loved," she said "So it'll disguise itself," while they were we chatting someone said "SORA!" it was Jaxx and he is chasing down a figure wearing a brown hood. Everyone ran after Jaxx, they stopped at an alleyway "I got you now," Jaxx said. The figure took off the hood and it revealed Sora with very icy blue eyes "What do you want from me? And why do you keep on calling me Sora?" he asked. Jaxx went closer to him "Because you are Sora, I don't think you remember but we are like best friends, so please Sora come back," "Don't come any closer," he warned. But did Jaxx listen? Of course not! He went closer and closer "Sora please just come back-" Suddenly Sora had enough and he made an ice pillar and climbed on it. Then he made the exit of the alleyway frozen "Sora what are you doing?!" Alex asked panicking "I am trapping you all in this ice prison and you will never escape!" he said then he put an ice slab as the prison roof and ran away. "So much for trying to save Sora," said Livi "Don't worry, what if he's still in there somewhere? He needs to be right Jaxx?" asked Levi. But Jaxx didn't answer he just stood there with a hopeless face "We'll never get Sora back, he'll always be like this forever," "Jaxx don't say that," said Jackie "We know that he's in there somewhere," said Jackie. Jaxx just nodded. Will we ever get Sora back?
