the two guards at the front doors kneeled as Leoni kept riding towards the tower which was to be her new home. as she got closer the residents of Polis knelt at either side of path fyucha as Leoni rode. she nodded and smiled to the residents as they squealed and laughed in excitement
"Leoni what are you doing?" Lincoln scolded, he was careful to use English so most of the villagers would not understand
"i am here for them. not for appearances"
Leoni replied calmly not straying from the path
slightly confused Lincoln nodded
when the pair finally arrived Lexa was waiting at the front doors beside Titus the Flamekeepa.
"Ai Haiplana. We are glad you could join us." Titus said smoothly, bowing as Lexa did the same. They watched as Leoni hopped off Fyucha and Lincoln made his way to her side. A young girl came and pulled the horse away.
"Titus, Lexa. A pleasure always" Leoni nodded graciously. Lexa smirked slightly, bowing her head. Leoni was not a fan of Titus and Lexa knew it. The two had become true friends over the years. They had trained together, bled together, grown together, it had been the two of them fighting at Kidra's side for a long time now.
"when will the conclave commence?" Leoni asked
"Tomorrow midday." Lexa answered. Leoni searched her friends eyes for any hint of fear but she found none
"And the ball?"
"tonight! After supper"
"I see. Well Titus, you'll accomodate my friend Lincoln here. He will be my company to the ball and shall be staying the night."
"Of course Ai Haiplana." Titus bowed again.
"He has his stuff you may take him now" Leoni explained in annoyance.
"Wait what? Leoni I-" Lincoln started to protest but Titus had him on the floor with a dagger to his throat within half a second.
"You will address HaiplanaLeok by her royal name " Titus sneered. A crowd rapidly gathered around to witness the altercation. Leoni rolled her eyes before raising her own blade to Titus' neck
"And you will un-handmy friend and never question how he addresses me again." Leoni stated calmly. She rarely lost her temper. There was no need, no one disobeyed her
"Forgive me Leok "Titus begged sorrowfully taking his dagger away and rising to his feet before Leoni lowered her own blade and helped Lincoln up.
"Why am I going with him?" Lincoln hissed in Leoni's ear
"I need to talk to Lexa, relax! enjoy Polis, you really don't leave the house enough" Leoni patted his cheek while he scowled
