Leoni, Luna and Octavia were sprawled out on the sand catching their breath like most of the warriors around them.
"People are hurt Heda" Indie told the blonde gravely as he dropped beside the two girls, he checked over Octavia but the tables soon turned
"Your back!" Octavia turned Indie around so she could see the abundance of deep cuts and gashes that marked him "I-I- are you ok?" She asked trying to keep up her warrior act. Leoni instantly noticed what was going on and it made her happy to see they had found each other
"Look, you two do your couple shit, I'll keep everyone away" she nodded at the two who looked at her bashfully then she stood up "Right where are my healthy guards!"
After 2 hours or so Leoni was still attending to the injured. She was currently trying to help Indra who seemed to have ingested glass into her lungs "Is she gonna be ok?" Octavia asked as the woman coughed. The Queen was laying in Indie's arms as he glared people down daring them to question him. They seemed so comfortable together. He was good for her just like Leoni knew he would be
"She's strong" was Leoni's only reply because not even Becca's videos could've prepared her for what had happened today
"Heda, there are 11 dead, 12 if you count Obika" Miller informed while trying to mask his devastation
"Take their weapons and their armour. Leave the bodies we don't have the resources or the time" Leoni replied carelessly still fussing over Indra
"Leave the bodies?" Cooper asked in shock
"Yeah, you got a problem with that?" Leoni countered without looking up
"No Heda" the guard replied sheepishly
"What do you want to do Octavia? We either march on with about 200 or we retreat, regroup and go from there" Leoni asked her second while helping Indra sit up and cough
"Sound the retreat" Octavia sighed sadly
"Yes Bloodreina" Cooper nodded amd went to carry out her instructions
"Let me see your arm" Leoni went over to Octavia and inspected the bandaged wound carefully
"Is she going to be alright?" Indie looked over to the wound trying to see whatever it was Leoni saw
"Of course she will" Leoni nodded with a gentle smile "The wound should heal fine but I'll have a better idea in a day or two" Leoni decided re-covering the gash
"So what should she take it easy or-" Indie tried to know as much as he could in worry for the girl and Leoni smiled at his attentiveness
"Hush Indie" Octavia reached up a hand and patted his cheek
"So how longs this been going on?" Luna asked cheekily as she sat up beside Octavia as Leoni checked over Indie's cuts which were minimal thank god
"Just before we got in the bunker" Indie replied, looking down at Octavia with love. Luna and Indie were old friends from before Flokru so he had no problem telling her about the love of his life
