Leoni noticed Octavia's longing gaze towards the fighting grounders rather quickly. she walked over to the girl. Leoni looked Octavia up and down. God did she resemble her brother. "Indra" Leoni beckoned not tearing her eyes away from Octavia
"Yes Leok?"
"Set Octavia up with Fio. See what she's really made of!" Leoni smiled curiously
"Leok I don't know-" Indra tried to intervene
"I can do this!" Octavia shrugged eager to fight. A feeling she would most likely regret having
"Prove it!" Leoni stated an eyebrow raised The fight was set up and a crowd had gathered. Through the pouring rain Fio and Octavia started to face off. Octavia was easily defeated but that much was to be expected. Leoni didn't stop the fight even after the 5th time Octavia was knocked over
"We should stop this-" Indra began to plead
"Who does she remind you of?" Leoni asked bright eyes as she watched Octavia bounce back up every time she was pushed down
"You Haiplana" Indra admitted a sense of pride around her voice "She gets knocked down she gets back up never so much as a moan"
"Octavia will be my second. One day she'll be scraping Fio off of her shoe" Leoni watched as Octavia was knocked down yet again. Ok maybe that was enough. she held up a fist making Fio freeze "Go hunt" Leoni demanded with a wave of her hand and the grounders disappeared towards the woods grabbing their weapons on the way out. Leoni walked over to where Kane was helping Octavia stand
"What where you trying to prove" Kane asks disapprovingly
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!" Octavia pants, trying to stand tall when she saw Leoni. Octavia readied herself for whatever Leoni would say
"That was shit" Leoni stated coldly as she dragged the Blake girl out if the mud and towards more stable ground. She didn't miss the way Octavia's face fell "However the determination was admirable" she admitted in surprise
"You don't have to-"
"starting right now you do as I say no questions asked...actually that's a lie but you only question me when you think I'm in the wrong have courage to do that otherwise you're weak. You will train hard and well you won't complain and you will never ever disrespect me do you understand?" Leoni asked holding an arm out for Octavia to shake
"Yes Leok" Octavia tried to suppress her smile as she shook Leoni's arm
"Welcome aboard kid" The blonde smirked. She then walked away into the Ark in search of Raven. Opening doors and looking through windows she eventually found her sitting in front if a whole bunch of electronic things Leoni had never seen "Woah" she admired as she entered the room "Looks like a robot threw up in here!" She laughed sitting down beside Raven. All of this metal jumbled up with wires reminded her a lot of her brother Axon! He would always be tinkering with something, making it light up or whizz about and one time he even made walkie talkies for the two of them so Leoni could hear what life outside their room was like.
