"What do you want" Leoni sneered

"What do you want" Leoni sneered. Bellamy looked at the girl who hadn't even had to glance at him to know who he was

"For you not to hate me" Bellamy sighed turning his gaze to his feet, a certain twang of shame in his voice

"I don't hate, I plot. If I felt such hatred towards you, you would be dead already" Leoni said half sarcastically but she really meant it. She would have done exactly the same thing in his position, torture and questioning. He probably would've had the same response too

"Look can we just make peace between us? I'm sorry for tying you up and well...that whole situation" Bellamy turned to look at Leoni full on but she didn't return the gesture

"Stop looking at me like that" she snapped still not turning to look at him as she spoke

"Like what"

"Like you want me to like you"

"I don't-"

"Yes you do. Everyone is designed to have a need for approval and you need mine." Leoni spoke matter of factly

"Hey the only reason you're alive and walking is because of me! I could have easily given the order for you to be taken out on the spot but I didn't. Never mind your approval, I deserve you're unconditional respect!" Bellamy lost his calm very quickly

"Trust is earned, respect is gained and love is fought for. You deserve nothing until I say you do." Leoni spoke strongly, turning to meet Bellamy's eyes. They hit her with some sort of emotion she didn't recognise or particularly like, either way she brushed past it keeping up the emotionless warrior act.

"You need me for these people to follow you" Bellamy shook his head, sure of himself

"I don't need you for anything. I don't need your people to follow me if they're smart they'll do so by themselves. Besides, people have followed me since I was 5 years old, I know what I'm doing" Leoni snapped

"Very well. But at the end of the day they are our people, you are my people and I am your people. That's how blood works right? So can we at least agree to get along? Put everything behind us?" The boy asked trying to sound strong but Leoni didn't miss the pleading in his voice. She looked at him for a second. Looked into his eyes, joined up the dots between his freckled, traced the way his hair curled like the ocean. I mean come on, he wasn't exactly bad looking!

"We established in the tent that my blood isn't the same as yours so wether we're each others people will have to depend on how this intertribal relationship is formed.  Having said that, I won't be sour, that's not how empires are built, I can play nice. But earn it Bellamy" Leoni allowed her exterior to fall just slightly into a more friendly fashion

"Earn my trust and respect. I'd really like you to have it" Leoni's voice turned to a bare whisper. Bellamy nodded and smiled slightly. There was a moment between them, eyes locked, breath hitched but Leoni quickly broke away and cleared her throat awkwardly

"You know how to shoot a gun?" Bellamy asked, changing the subject much to Leoni's delight

"Oh I can't touch a gun" the blonde shook her head

"Why not Princess? It can't shoot you back?" The twinkle of mischief in Bellamy's eyes caused a smile to grow on Leoni's face

"ha ha. Actually I can't touch it because it's against my faith...and you call me princess in front of my people you'll be dead before you can correct yourself" Leoni smirked starting to walk towards the gate of the camp and Bellamy stayed at her side

"It'll have to be our little secret then won't it...princess" he smirked making Leoni's heart pound in a way she'd never experienced

"Hmm" Leoni mused.

"I guess it will"
