*Flasback*
"Leok!" Axel hissed from her bedside in attempts to wake her
"5 more minutes" she grumbled and turned over
"No come on! There's something I have to show you" he tugged on her hands. Leoni opened a eye and realised it was Axel, her love, her boy, her favourite
"Fine" she mumbled and slipped out of bed and pulled on her clothes
"Hurry or we'll miss it!" He took her hand in his and dragged her out of her room. Together they ran down the corridors towards the stables, not that Leoni had any idea what was happening
"I got you something" Axel whispered and slowed them as they approached a horse. He pulled the blonde to crouch with him
"She just had a foal, I didn't want you to miss his first steps" he pointed out a midnight black new born foal who was starting to fumble to his feet
"He's beautiful!" Leoni gasped
"He's yours" Axel smiled at her. She turned to face him, shocked
"What?" She whispered
"I bought him for you, so you have a horse of your own, finally." He explained
"Axel I- I don't know what to say" Leoni laughed in shock
"You could kiss me?" He grinned cheekily. With a wide smile Leoni tugged him towards her by the collar and planted her lips on his
"I love you" she mumbled
"I love you too" he smiled and pulled her into him. Leoni rested her head on his shoulder while his arms were wrapped tightly around her. They both watched the foal and his mother get to know each other
"Maybe one day I can ride him down the aisle" Leoni thought aloud
"If you still want to marry me by then" Axel laughed
"I will, I'll love you forever" Leoni replied confidently
"Good...now come on let's get back to bed before Kidra catches us" Axel stood and then helped his girl. He walked her back to her room with her hand tightly in his, silently promising to love her forever

"Drink?" Leoni asked Axel, the boy who would soon become her second victim of the night nervously. He was a tall brunette with the same gorgeous eyes as his sister making him so much harder to kill.
"Leok! Yes, please! This will be my last though before the conclave tomorrow." He took the goblet gratefully and downed half of the the liquid in one go. Leoni held her head high showing no sign of guilt. She watched as the boy gulped her poison. It got easier killing. It really did. Justifying her every decision played a big part in that and Lexa's happiness was the best justification of all
