Walking through the woods Leoni felt nothing. She was good at that. Turning it all off. So that's what she did. Turned it off. She trekked through the woods until she came across a travelling woman on a horse
"Excuse me!" She reached out a hand. The woman stopped immediately when she realised who it was "Are you you going Polis?" Leoni asked urgently
"No but I'll take you Leok" the woman said bright eyed and eager, allowing the girl to jump on the back of the horse
"Thank you!" Leoni sighed "Go as fast as you can I need to see Heda" and the woman did as she was asked. They arrived to Polis within the hour. Leoni hadn't seen the place in so long it felt new. She hopped off the horse thanking the woman she'd learned to be called Pam. She walked slowly into the building. Knowing the time of the day she knew exactly where Lexa would be. As she walked the guards stationed around the place had to force their jaws not to drop. In all honesty no one thought they'd see her again. She kept walking until she stood outside the doors of the throne room. She took a deep breath patting down her clothes. She'd disposed of her jacket at some point through the ride not wanting to add insult to injury. She knocked on the door as confidently as she could
"Kom op raun" Lexa's clearly tired voice came. Almost crying at hearing the sound of Lexa's words after so long Leoni had to force herself to open the doors. She pushed them open at the same time as a frustrated Lexa pulled them from her side. Leoni looked up in anticipation breathing in sharply. Lexa's face instantly changed into one that showed so many emotions Leoni didn't know how to read it! They stood like that for a second looking at each other. Taking each other in. Leoni didn't let her eyes stray from Lexa's for even a millisecond. "Leo" Lexa whispered.
"Hi Lex" Leoni breathed and before she could say anything else Lexa had wrapped the girl in a tight tight hug which Leoni didn't hesitate to return. They held each other so tight that they had to fall to their knees never letting go.
"I'm sorry Lexa I'm so so sorry" Leoni sobbed tearlessly into her friend's shoulder
"I'm sorry too for everything" Lexa agreed
"I missed you so much" Leoni began laughing at the delight of having her best friend back
"I missed you more trust me" the commander started laughing too until they were holding onto each other's arms on the throne room floor laughing their heads off "What about-"
"I got into a fight with Bellamy. I don't know what it means but I know I need to figure it all out with you." Leoni answered the question Lexa hadn't even asked yet
"Ok...ok!" Lexa pulled her sister into another hug
"I love you" the blonde whispered
"I love you too" Lexa replied smiling softly. Once the girls had gotten themselves together they stood up and walked further into the throne room, hand in hand. Leoni looked around at the walls and details that brought back so many memories she then looked towards her throne same as Lexa's although slightly smaller.
