52. a mass murder

Chapter 52

"This is the stupidest idea ever." I pinch my nose.

"It's fucking great!" Theo says, running to the top of the stairs with a laundry basket in hand.

Oriya sends me a huge grin and waves enthusiastically as she hurries Theo over to where she's standing. Ryder and Sarah stand at the bottom screaming at the top of their lungs for Oriya to win.

The challenge was to sit down in the laundry basket and glide down the stairs into a bunch of pillows and shit. Then, the floor was covered in lego which you had to walk across to get to the burger king crown sitting on the red pillow.

That person would be declared king of the house. Or queen.

Oriya and I arrived in Italy 2 days ago. We decided to use some time to just relax and not focus on the little gang stealing from my warehouse. They only stole a little bit anyway, it was no big deal.

I just wanted us to be us before we went back into our normal mafia shit again.

Kena, Lucas, Theo, and Sienna were supposed to go out but Theo decided to stay back home. It was getting kind of cold out and Theo gets sick pretty quick so he has barely left the house.

"You got this Oriya!" Sarah jumps up and down.

"Vincent! Countdown!" Theo shouts, sitting in the basket.

Oriya sits her ass down too with her tongue slightly stuck out, looking determined to win whatever the hell this was. She wriggles in her spot until she looks content and she nods at me, "Go ahead Vince!"

Sarah and Ryder go into the safety zone and then I fire the bullet, making the two idiots go down the stairs in their stupid baskets. High pitched screams fill up the room as we all watch in horror.

Theo was way ahead of Oriya. I think the fuck not. To give Oriya time, I started firing shots at Theo. Obviously I wasn't going to actually shoot him but just so Oriya gets enough time to make it down. I look over to check where she is and I swear my heart dropped.

Oriya's basket flips over mid way on the stairs and she flies out the basket, going tumbling down the stairs. She reaches the floor and groans in pain. To add more pain, the basket falls directly on her head.

I rush over to her and crouch down, "Are you hurt? I told you not to do this, didn't I? Does anything hurt? Are you okay?" I blurt out in a rush.

She looks at with a grin stretched wide on her face, her eyes shining with a mischievous glint. I understand what the plan is and hold her to my chest, making sure nobody can see her face. She fakes cries as I 'soothe' her.

Theo, Ryder, and Sarah come rushing over to check up on her. Theo crouches down next to us, "Shit, are you okay?"

I feel Oriya smile against my chest before she jumps out my arms and tackles Theo to the ground. Ryder and Sarah jump in shock, not expecting it. Oriya eventually gets up and bolts towards the lego station she had to complete.

Theo groans, "Hey! That's not fair." He says, getting up and going over to the lego thing as well.

Sarah is quick to jump into action. She throws herself onto the ground and holds Theo's leg, making sure he can't run. Ryder copies her action. Theo wriggles his leg, trying to get out of their grip but he can't. If he was too rough, they would get hurt.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Oriya yelps as she steps on the lego pieces. She eventually makes it to the crown and stands in front of it, grinning from ear to ear. The kids notice and let go of Theo's leg, yelling in my girl's victory.
