They deserve love to! Sure they dealt a lot with the infamous Ercole catching sea monsters, winning the portorosso race, just fed up with him really!
By the end of the movie, It's their time to settle in with their favorite reader and finally relax without Ercole yapping around like an stupido. lol
Yes there is some fanfic on Guido, but not alot of Ciccio.
So it seems fair!
