I woke up propping myself up. I looked around. I was back in my room, the memories of yesterday still a fresh wound. I felt my face with my hand my eyes were swollen and my face was puffy. I heard a noise coming from Draco's bathroom and he cursed throwing something when the door was open and he walked into my room opening my wardrobe. He grabbed some clothes and carried them back. He didn't notice I was up and he continued on. He was packing for Hogwarts. A job that once belonged to Tiny. I winced at the thought swallowing it back. Draco looked back hearing me and paused walking over to the bed he sat on the edge.

"Sorry I didn't mean to wake you" He said softly I shook my head turning to him

"No..." I coughed out my voice was barely audible, it was hoarse and raspy and my throat stings.

"Shh... probably best if you don't talk too much. I suspect you'll be like that for a while." He replied

"No..." I coughed lightly trying to clear my throat "I will be fine" I shook him off getting up I walked to the bathroom I looked dreadful. I let the water run and splashed my face and washed it off. Draco observed me quietly before speaking

"How are you?" He asked in a concerned tone

"I'm fine, are we leaving today? How much longer do we have?" I asked walking past him he followed me like a shadow I felt annoyed but I suppressed the feeling

"Rose we've been over this you don't have to put up a front with me, you can be honest with me" He whispered from behind me, I fidgeted with my ring spinning it around before facing him

"Malfoy" I started matching his approach " We are way past that right now I would like to pack and leave." I spoke quietly "So once again are we leaving and how long do we have?" Draco didn't answer immediately as if he was debating on what to do his eyes gave away concern as he attempted to hide it.

"We leave in an hour, I started your bag. I'll be in my room if you need me" He said blankly and walked to his room, shutting the door. I sighed and sat back down in a chair and put my head in my hands and closed my eyes. This year was going to be so much worse.

The hour flew by but I had made myself look decent and packed all that was needed. I grabbed my stuff and walked into Draco's room. He stared at me and nodded. There was a knock at the door and Draco opened it, it was Narcissa. She looked at me with pity then quickly glanced at Draco.

"Are you ready to go?" she asked

"Yes. Mother you don't have to escort us Tatum will take us" Draco replied dryly I nodded in agreement but Cissy shook her head

"Let me take you both.." She continued her voice merely a whisper "Give me some peace of mind" Draco began to protest but I stopped him with some sympathy still in my heart for Cissy

"Let her, I don't have much energy anyways" Cissy was shocked by my voice but hid it quickly and Draco didn't protest but he nodded. Cissy extended her hands to us and we grabbed them. She disappeared and I closed my eyes until my feet hit the ground. I opened them and saw we were not at platforms 9 3⁄4 we were in a room but by the sounds of it we were still at the station Cissy dropped around hands and silenced the room

"What are you.." Draco began but Cissy cut him off

"Listen to me both of you, you both have not been included in every meeting this summer. There have been more in secret but now we are on the edge of war. I can not force myself to choose a side but be smart! Expect to be pulled away throughout the year you will both be called upon at times. Hogwarts is not the school you left last year..." Cissy paused

"We know that.." Draco argued

"No you don't understand many know you are both death eaters." She said slightly raising her voice "Take care of one another I can't promise help" She hissed out she glanced at me "Stay strong" She then looked between us "You are both so special to me." I didn't protest when she hugged me but I welcomed it and held back tears. She released me and turned to Draco despite his protest hugging him as well. She whispered something in his ear I couldn't make out and his demeanor changed and he stiffly nodded releasing her. "This year will be unlike any others, prepare yourself and your friends, goodbye." She said pulling away and disappearing. Draco and I stood frozen for a moment. Draco was the first to break the silence
