The next day Draco showed up to none of our classes. I walked around with my head held high. I had gone through all my classes with Eva and Daphne but I had to part from the once it got to Charms.

"Rough day?" Graham asked me as I slammed my books down.

"Actually not the opposite I feel. What's the word... relieved of a burden" I said, turning to him.

"Oh and what might that burden be?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"I liked this guy slightly and last night he crushed me and so I did what I had to do and I feel refreshed I took out all my anger and let it out by crying, screaming, shattering things, and slapping" I sighed

"And that made you feel relieved?" He asked cautiously

"Yeah because last night I was laying in bed thinking about what a friend told me and she was right. He isn't worth it. I have dealt with this boy for too long and although we were very close I let my feelings get in the way and he didn't care so now I don't care and I think I'm okay" I nodded trying to convince myself.

"Well good job. Just saying though I think this boy has know you for a very long time and adventially he will come back" Graham said

"That may be so but as of this year I am free of him" I sighed

"Come on Tatum be real you may be furious with him now but we all know you or him will come running back what did he even do?"

"Oh he asked Pansy to the Ball, that would be like me asking Higgs to the ball completely despicable"

"So do you have a date at the Yule ball?' He asked smirking

"Did you not listen to what I just said. No I do not no need to rub it in " I said looking at him

"Well you do now" He replied and I gave him a look

"Who?"

"Me stupid" He rolled his eyes and patted my head

"Oh like a date?" I asked the ends of my lips turning up

"We'll make it a date," Graham said smiling.

"Alright I'm trusting you to let me have a good time" I said extending my hand to shake

"Oh you will have a great time and you can forget about Malfoy" He took my hand and put his lips to it.

"How did you know it was Mal..."

"Shh class is starting" He whispered. I didn't know if this was a good Idea or a bad idea, at least I had a date now. By the time class was done I decided this was not a bad Idea. Class finished and I packed up and walked out with Graham.

"Also do you have a dress picked out if so what color is it?" He asked me

"Haven't gotten one yet but hey you really don't have to go with me if this is out of pity." I mumbled nd Graham tilted my head up to make me look him in the eyes

"I don't give out pity Rose '' He broke eye contact and added "You are actually pretty mature for your age so you're alright. See you later" He said as he broke away I stood there watching. Well that didn't take long to find a date. Higgs walked by me then glanced back.

"Save me a dance would you? For old times sake."

"You can forget about it" I hissed and hurried off to lunch and sat down next to Eva.

"You seem happy for last night's events. Who are you going with to the ball?" She asked

"How do you always know!" I groaned.
