Blackness. Infinite blackness speckled with trillions of stars.

The dead silence and the calm twinkle of the distant stars was suddenly shattered by a blinding flash of colours and blue shift appear out of nowhere, the starlight warping around the gravitational glitch of a wormhole. A single Cybertronian starship emerged from the opening in space-time.

The Autobot Ark zooms through normal space, the sudden acceleration from the inertia of hyperspace to a fraction of lightspeed in relative motion nearly causing everyone onboard flying off their feet to the back of the ship from the G-forces. The ship rocketed on through space, slowing down as it approached its destination; the homeworld of the Transformers - Cybertron.

It was nighttime on Cybertron; however, as eerie and dark as it always was on the dead metal planet, it might as well always be considered nighttime, no matter what time of the day it was. The once vibrant, prosperous world of technology was now nothing more than a wasteland of wreckage. The buildings and structures that were not destroyed in the war were heavily damaged and appeared they would crumble at any time. The metal landscape was battered and worn from countless years of nonstop fighting and bombardment.

Cybertron's two moons hovered in the sky. They were both barren and dead like Earth's moon, but they were much bigger and took up a bigger chunk of the sky than Earth's moon did. Other than the two celestial satellites, there were only a few stars dotting the night sky. Dark, melancholy clouds choked the skies and only added to the gloom of the scenery.

The Autobots kept silent as they began to prep the Ark for final approach towards the remains of one of the cities of the Autobots during the Great War. Everyone stared out at the sight before him. The darkness of the land was depressing; Braedey couldn't help but feel bad at the sight of the war-torn planet.

"Cybertron... it's pains me to see it. I can't believe such a war could do this to a world." Braedey didn't hear a reply. "Elita?" He looked and turned to see the femme, and could see the dismay etched into her facial plate. She closed her optics and turned away.

"This... was not how I wanted you to see Cybertron, our home." Elita muttered to him.

Braedey's sadness vanished into concern. He looked back at the wrecked landscape. "I... I'm sorry..."

"It's okay." Elita interjected, gently picking her off Optimus' shoulder as she held him. "I understand you were thrilled to see Cybertron. I... I just... never wanted you to see it like this." She paused and stared off into space.

"In the fog of war, it's hard to see beyond the next leg of the mission, the next punch in a fight. We did everything to save Cybertron, but when the fog finally lifted... there wasn't much left to save." Arcee finished for Elita.

Braedey breathed a heavy sigh as the Ark now began to make its way through Cybertron's atmosphere and began to approach Iacon.

Manoeuvring thrusters burst in several directions, carefully aligning the ship down at an open landing space just on the outskirts of the city. The keel of the ship descends into the landing space, a few thousand metres to descend and decelerate. And then... after a few breathtaking moments and just a bit slower... The rush of wind caused by wake of the seer-majestic size of the behemoth blasted the region with hurricane force gusts of air, plowing clouds of dust beyond the horizon and blasting walls of dust in all directions.
