They were racing.

Racing to find the damn school bus.

Earlier that day, shortly after their stop near the woods, the Winchesters and the Hales had searched the bus at the school where Madelyn had found a driving permit which had led them to the address of Dirk McGregor.

Sitting down with the Mr McGregor, who had clearly seen better days, the hunters and huntresses had come to find out that Dirk McGregor, Barry's bully, had died when he was just 18 years old.

As it turns out, Dirk was picked on himself by kids around the school and had even dubbed him as 'Dirk the Jerk', causing for guilt to settle across Sam's features.

Although, the one piece of information that caught their attention was that Mr McGregor hadn't buried Dirk but instead had him cremated and kept a lock of his hair in his Bible on the school bus.

They had eventually found the bus but it was involved in an accident on the side of the road.

Dean slowed down the Impala and Sam instantly jumped out to confront the bully from eleven years ago.

Dean grabbed some salt-soaked ropes to hold him while the girls approached Sam, who had a gun aimed at the bus driver.

"Dirk!" Sam yelled.

Madelyn frowned at her best friend but soon noticed the panicked teenagers on the bus, who watched the tall hunter with widened eyes.

"It's going to be okay." The younger blonde said with a reassuring smile in attempt to ease their nerves.

"No one is hurt?" Camryn asked, resulting in multiple shakes of heads. "Good. Stay where you are." She instructed with a soft smile of her own.

"Aren't you the nurse and guidance counsellor?" The coach aboard the bus quizzed while the boys all stared at the girls.

"Yeah, not really." Madelyn scoffed lightly. "The bus driver sells pot." She said and quickly made her way towards the glove compartment, opening it.

Quickly finding the Bible, the younger Nephilim huntress shuffled and paged through the pages in search for the lock of hair that Mr McGregor kept.

"Guys, it's not here!" She exclaimed to the brothers and smiled at the occupants seated on the bus before getting off with Camryn in tow, only to find the driver binded in the ropes.

"Where is it?" Sam asked with a clenched jaw.

"No way you'll ever find it."

"Where is it?!" The shaggy haired male yelled, pushing the shot gun up to Dirk's chest.

"Sam Winchester. Still a bully. You jocks.. You popular kids.. You always thought you were better than everybody else." Dirk growled. "And to you, I was just Dirk the Jerk, right? Now you evil sons of bitches are gonna get what's coming to you."

"I'm not evil, Dirk. I'm not. And neither were you. Trust me." The younger hunter stated. "I've seen real evil. We were scared and miserable, and we took it out on each other - us and everybody else. That's high school. But you suffer through that, and it gets better. I'm just sorry you didn't get a chance to see that.. You or Barry."

"Nothing is gonna get better for me. Not ever." Dirk replied and broke free from the ropes.

Sam immediately fired rock salt at the man, which made the students on the bus panic.

Seeing this, the Nephilim huntresses both climbed back onto the bus and tried to keep their attention away from the fight outside and keep them calm.

"Everything is fine." Madelyn said as the boys continued their fight outside. "There is nothing to worry about."

Something felt off.

The girls exchanged knowing glances with each other before their eyes darted around the bus, only to land on a student who had ectoplasm leaking out of his nose.

He got up and began making his way towards the two huntresses.

"Oh, I don't think so." Madelyn said, tilting her head to the side challengingly but they weren't the ones who Dirk was after.

Putting up a fight against the vengeful spirit, the girls were taken by surprise when Dirk hit them both across the face - Camryn stumbling back into the steering wheel and Madelyn into the metal bar by the stairs.

"Dick move, McGregor!" The younger blonde gritted out, her eyes flashing a pale electric blue colour for a split second before returning to her normal blue as she watched the student attack Sam.

She was about to step off the bus, seeing that Dean's efforts to help his brother was not helping, until Sam stopped her.

"Maddie! Find the hair!" The young hunter yelled.

Hesitating for a moment, Madelyn eventually gave in and began searching through the glove compartment for the lock of hair, only to find nothing.

"Shit!" She muttered, slamming the compartment shut in frustration before a thought occurred.

Dirk might have it on him.

Jumping off the bus, she made her way over to the bus driver. "Dude, I am so sorry but this isn't what it looks like." She said and began searching him.

The driver let out a soft groan and made no movement to stop the huntress in her search.

Not finding the lock of hair in any of his pockets and muttering a string of very colourful curse words, the blonde removed his shoe and turned it upside down.

Out fell the lock of hair.

With a brief grin of victory, she quickly grabbed it and pulled out a lighter as her gaze landed on Dirk punching Sam while Dean tried to pull the vengeful spirit off of his little brother.

Igniting the lighter, Madelyn quickly set the lock of hair on fire resulting in Dirk yelling from the student's body that he was currently possessing. The spirit was soon expelled from the body before igniting in flames himself.

Dean let out a groan and fell back onto the street, relieved that this case was finally over as the girls released their own sighs of relief.

The student groaned in pain before he fell on top of Sam, the shaggy haired hunter's eyes widening slightly as his eyes darted towards his brother and the Hale sisters.

"Little help?" He squeaked out from underneath the student.

"He's giving you the full cowgirl." Dean teased, earning a groan from his brother while Madelyn bit her lip, trying not to laugh as she helped her best friend.
