Leaning my head back against the wall I sighed. After last night they had tossed me back into this room, the silver bars reeked of wolfs bane. Although I had now learned I could handle most of it, I didn't feel like trying. I needed my strength for the upcoming days, I knew I wouldn't be able to shift into my Lycan and I feared for Brynn her safety.

I hadn't seen her when they returned me, Cyllene probably told her guards to separate us. The woman hated me because my parents followed their instincts, they mated and she got pregnant. But after all the stories about my father, I started to wonder if he was as great as I thought he was.

I extended my claw, the walls are crumbling. With the edge of my nail I was able to dig at the softening mortar between the distressed bricks. It's the damp that does it I think. No matter the weather outside, the floor is always wet in here. I wish the cube of brick decayed faster, but a tiny part of me feared that my body would go sooner. The lighting is artificial and I couldn't help but wonder how long it would take for me to forget what a tree looks like, or the feel of the wind on a stormy day.

A door closed in the distance as the familiar heavy steps came my way, the heavy chunk of metal and the bolts sliding home so pointlessly echoed through the room. I slowly stood, stretching my back as the guard from yesterday reached my little jail room. He kept a safe distance from the silver bars, 'Here.' He tossed me some dry bread and a water bottle. 'You need your strength.'

I eagerly drunk the water, it had been a few days since I was able to drink or eat at all. 'Where is Brynn?' I questioned him.

He raised his eyebrow. 'She is slaving away.'

I frowned, so she wasn't in a separate room waiting to suffer the consequences of my failure. Maybe I did have some kind of flaws from my father, I recalled Cyllene her words 'Until it was time to do what an Alpha does; protect, provide and produce for their woman and pack'. Maybe I wasn't much of a Luna, let alone a Queen. I wasn't even able to keep one person safe with my own actions, I needed Kena.

Pain surged through me at the thought of my mate. I had forced Kena to the back of my mind, hoping it would ease some of the pain. But with every thought, every mention of her name and every hour that passed the pain only came back stronger. I felt awful and extremely weak, Leto didn't even have the strength to talk to me. After the dose of wolfs bane and being away from Kena, she hadn't said much.

'Ready?' Don asked, he had watched me eat my piece of dry bread in complete silence. I sighed, I wasn't ready at all but I had to try my best.

I extended my arms as the familiar burn returned at my wrist, these guys loved their little wolfs bane potion. He opened my door and grabbed my arm. Once again he lead me through different halls and rooms, no sight or scent of Brynn anywhere.

Two young boys opened a door to a gigantic room, 'Wow.. what is this place?' I couldn't help but be overwhelmed with this amazing room. 'An old indoor training location.' He spoke. Alright, I knew Don was one of the bad guys keeping me here, yet he was one of the first few guards that actually spoke to me with dignity.

In the distance I could see Cyllene in her Lycan form as she fought of five other Lycans all at once. There was something different about her Lycan as I took in her majestic form. Cyllene shifted back, 'The little princess,' She nodded her head. 'Don, go get Jack.'

I stood in complete silence as Cyllene circled me, resting her chin on her hand as she took me in. She seemed to be deep in thought, I could feel the power deep inside me bubble up. 'Alright, let's see what you got.' She eyed her watch. 'You got two minutes.'

I growled. 'I can't shift you dumb bitch.' My eyes widened in shock as the name calling. But instead of anger she laughed, 'Good. Get angry, we need to find your trigger.'

Shaking with anger, I knew it wouldn't take long for me to lose control. But even then I knew I wouldn't be able to shift, we had tried everything back home so why would it work now. Her arrogance gaze, her composure screamed power but it didn't affect me. I was above her, wasn't I? I was pure Lycan. She? She a cheap knock-off. I forced myself to take a deep breath, calming myself down.

She crossed her arms, as the doors behind me opened. 'Ah. right on time.' Brynn her scent hit me as I quickly turned my head, it calmed me a little to notice she seemed to be doing okay. She smiled when she saw me, Cyllene motioned for the guard behind her to bring her over.

Cyllene grabbed Brynn her cheek firmly, but Brynn didn't lose eye contact with her. 'Let me bring you up to speed, whenever your friend fails to do what she is told. You suffer the consequences,' She eyed her watch. 'Since her two minutes are up,' She punched Brynn right in the stomach, letting her go as Brynn fell to her knees gasping for air. 'You suffer the first consequence.' She finished, she squatted next to Brynn. Pulling her head back by her hair.

Cyllene her eyes met mine. 'I'll take it easy the first day little princess. But.. I have a very short temper.'

'Duly noted.' Brynn coughed. My eyes shot towards Brynn, my eyes pleading for her to be quiet and behave.

Cyllene stood, 'Try again.'

'Don't Azalea.' Brynn warned me, which earned another kick in the stomach. I closed my eyes shut, I didn't want to see it. 'Azalea, I will be alright. I took an oath, you are my queen.' Her voice sounded in my head, yet it didn't calm me. Alora needed her and frankly, so did I.

Cyllene sighed, 'Un-cuff her.'

'But ma'am!' A guard protested, but with one glare he did what he was told to do and moved towards me. 'No,' Cyllene spoke, 'The other girl.'

'Wait? What are you going to do?' I questioned, fearing the next couple of minutes.

Cyllene chuckled. 'Tick-tock.. little princess.'

The minute the hand cuffs were off, Cyllene lunged for Brynn who was barely able to pull herself up on her feet before dodging Cyllene her punch. 'Stop!' I growled, Brynn wouldn't survive and even if she did, what would be left of Brynn?

I fought my handcuffs as I watched Brynn struggle to stay on her feet as Cyllene kept lunging at her. Brynn hadn't been able to throw a punch back, let alone take a breather. She staggered back when she slammed her fist into her shoulder, I could hear the cracking of her bone. Brynn growled, I knew she was getting angry this time she lunged  a few times, catching Cyllene off-guard, her knuckles swishing past her nose.

Cyllene tilted her head, 'Who are you?' She questioned as she watched Brynn aim for her.

'A bitch who took an oath to take you down.' Brynn growled, Cyllene smirked as her eyes took their Lycan form. She lunged forward, her claw digging deep in Brynn her stomach. Brynn her eyes widened, blood gulping out of her mouth.

'No!' I screamed, breaking the hand-cuffs with strength I didn't think I had, Cyllene dropped Brynn to the floor but it was too late. My fist connected with Cyllene her jaw and I could feel her jaw break under my fist. I shook with anger as I felt the power radiate through every fiber of my body. A growl escaped me, but before I could lunge again two guards grabbed my arms, twisting them behind my back.

Cyllene slowly stood, tilting her head as she approached me. Her jaw had already healed. 'Take this girl to the doctor.' She growled at one of the guards who instantly rushed over to take Brynn away.

Cyllene met my gaze, 'Interesting, very interesting. Even when your pack member is in danger, you do not want to shift.'

'How many times do I have to tell you, I can't shift.' I snapped, this woman was getting on my nerves. Cyllene smiled, 'Little princess, you can. You don't know how. But for now,' she clapped her hands together and young girl approached us, bowing her head as she handed Cyllene a silver collar. 'For now, you will do as my slave.'

She clasped the collar around me like I was some filthy dog. I growled as it squeezed my neck. 'What is this?'

'This collar weakens your wolf, I don't need a slave running around wanting to kill me, now do I?'

I faked a smile, 'Yes, that would be awful.'

She growled as she caught onto my sarcasm, grabbing my shirt as she pulled me against her. My skin burned with fire with the touch of another person against my body, 'Besides, the weaker you get and the longer you are away from your precious mate. The weaker she'll get and the easier it is for me to end her life.'
