Trigger warning panic attack

I woke up in Colby's arms in my hospital room the next morning. I looked up and saw Colby asleep. I slowly sat up and looked around the room. My mind drifted off to mark attacking me. I whimpered as my breathing picked up. The panic attack  came on fast I was hyperventilating loudly causing Colby too wake up and sit up quick.

"Hey hey " Colby said. The heart monitor started to beep faster and Colby hit the call button. "Ok baby you need to breathe with me ok in and out" Colby said as Layla ran in the room. The Machine started beeping loudly signaling I wasn't getting enough oxygen from hyperventilating. 

Layla quickly put the mask back on my face making me think back to marks hand over my Mouth. I wanted it off. I tried to grab it but Colby grabbed my face gently in his hands.

"Keep it on sweetheart I know it's scary but its helping you ok just breathe" Colby said and wrapped his arms around me and squeezed like I told him to the night we met. It worked as I slowly calmed down and relaxed in his arms as Clara ran in. 

"What happened" Clara said as she looked at the heart monitor. "she had a panic attack" Colby said.

"Ok Marissa it looks like when you have a panic attack and your heart goes fast like it would during a panic attack and it triggers the tachycardia" Clara said "So when you feel the panic attack coming on I want you to try and stay grounded so taking a cold bath or shower as well as other grounding techniques that help"

"Ok" I said as I continued to take deep breaths with the oxygen mask.

"Layla could you grab the heart monitor for me please" Clara asked. Layla nodded and left the room. she came back a minute later with a little gray box the size of a light switch with wires attached to it and it had a 3 buttons on top and a clip on the back and handed it to Clara.

"So you will have to wear this heart monitor 24/7 and when you feel your heart starting to go too fast push this green button and it will start to record your heart rate then when it stops push this red button and then click the blue button and it sends the report to the computer at the doctors office ok" Clara Said 

I nodded "ok here are your clothes get dressed and I'm going to get your discharge papers and when your done getting dressed click the call button and Layla will come show you how to put the heart monitor on" Clara said the left the room with Layla.

I stood up and so did Colby. I went in to the bathroom and changed back into my clothes. I turned around to the mirror and frowned at my reflection my jaw had little bruises peppered along both sides from Marks hand squeezing.

I shook my head and walked into the room and sat next to Colby on the bed and hit the call button.

Layla walked in "Ok so lets put this monitor on" She said and walked over with it. She took the 2 lead in her had and peeled of the plastic for the sticky part "ok can you pull up your shirt" Layla asked I nodded and pulled my shirt up.

Layla stuck one lead above my heart right under my collarbone and the other at middle of my rib cage right at the bottom of my sternum then pulled my shirt down over the wires . 

"Ok stand up for a second please" Layla said. I stood up and she clipped the monitor to the waist band of my pants "ok there you go. And here" Layla said handing me a small box of sticker pads so I can change them every morning.
