I sat on the edge of the bed Colby in front of me. I held onto his forearms keeping my back still and bent for the anesthesiologist. I felt as the anesthesiologist cleaned my back. "Alright deep breaths and try and stay still." He said. "Okay." I said.

I squeezed Colby's arms as I felt the thick needle pierce my skin. Colby kissed my head and rubbed my forearms with his thumbs. A minute later it was done. "Alright you can sit up now." The anesthesiologist said.

I sat up and Colby helped me back in bed. "Alright so it should take a full effect with in 5 to 15 Minutes." The anesthesiologist said. I just nodded. I could feel myself creeping back into a black cloud of depression.

"Thank you." Colby said as The anesthesiologist left. After about 10 minutes I couldn't feel anything from my waist down. A few Minutes later Alice and Amelia came in already in surgery covers and caps. Alice Handed Colby the stuff to put on while Amelia helped me get the cap on over my hair .

I looked over at Colby and smiled a bit at him in the surgery get up as he put a mask on. He walked over to me and rubbed my shoulder. Alice and Amelia started to wheel my bed out of the room. I couldn't see Colby and it made me nervous.

"Colby." I said as we made it to the hallway. He walked next to me and grabbed my hand as we walked. "I'm right here." He said and continued to walk with me. I was wheeled into a dim operating room except for the bright surgical light over the bottom half of the operating table.

Dr Gaines was in there along with a OR nurse. "There she is." Dr Gaines said as I was lift by the sheets onto the Operating table. "How are you feeling." Dr Gaines asked me. "Numb scared anxious." I said as they helped me lay down.

"Just try and relax okay." Dr Gaines said. I nodded as the sheet divider was raised so I couldn't see from my chest down. I looked over at Colby who was a few feet away. They made me hold my arms out making a T. I started to panic as they strapped my arms down.

I was starting to have a hard time breathing from panicking. The monitor started to beep faster as my heart started to beat fast. "Ok ok its okay." Alice said as she put the oxygen mask on me. "try and relax." Amelia said. I just stared at the ceiling trying to breath.

A few seconds later Colby came into view from behind my head. He put his hands on the sides of my face and rubbed gently with his thumbs. "Look at me M." He said. I looked into his eyes instantly feeling the panic start to dissipate.

"That's it babygirl deep breaths your ok I'm right here." He said as my monitors went back to normal. Colby sat in a chair behind my head but stayed leaned forward so I could see him. My legs were put in stirrups.

"Okay sweetie were gonna get started." I heard Dr Gaines said. "Okay." I said. "Okay your gonna feel some uncomfortable pressure but I want you to just focus on staying relaxed." Dr Gaines said. I tensed up a bit from the pressure and squeezed my eyes shut.

"Hey look at me princess." Colby said. I opened my eyes. "There she is focus on me okay." Colby said. I focused on him and relaxed. Colby talked with me and kept me calm for the 30 minute procedure. Once it was done I was lifted back to the bed while Colby remove the surgery stuff he was wearing.

Colby grabbed my hand while I was being wheeled back to the room. When I was wheeled into the room Kristin, Jared, and Spencer were there. "Hi sweetie." Kristin said as my bed was put back in the normal spot. "Hi." I said as Amelia and Alice left.

I looked at Spencer and he smiled and reached for me. "Ok come here." I said. Kristin set him next to me on the bed. "Be careful auntie has a owie." Kristin said. We all sat and talked for a bit before Dr Gaines came in. Everyone introduced themselves then Dr Gaines spoke to me.
