Loki

Nat's POV:

We manage to get back on the helicareer after way too much useless bickering and start talking strategic. Thor explains his brother has an army called the Chiaturi and they'll get him Earth against the Tesseract. He also reveals being friend with Selvig therefore not understanding why he'd be on Loki's side.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours" I explain, my thoughts directly going to Clint. I really need this dork to be okay.

"I want to know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here" Cap redirects the conversation

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on him" Banner hypothesis, both of them got a fair point there

"Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is from Asgard and he's my brother" Thor defends, here we go again

"He killed 80 people in 2 days" I say looking at him, daring him to extend another of this useless point

"He's adopted"  He simply answers

"I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium? What do they need iridium for?" Banner ask continuing his own trail of thoughts

"It's a stabilizing agent" Stark says arriving from the corridor talking vacation with Coulson

He then started to to explain us the utility iridium as with all of this mess while playing with Fury's command of the ship -Did he put a mic? What did he do?-

"When did you become an expert in astrophysics?" Maria asks looking quite annoyed

"Last night" He casually answers

They all continue talking too scientifically for me to understand or care. Maria then comes next to my chair and whispers " I need to talk to you" I sigh in annoyance and start standing up, but Fury comes in, making us stop to listen for a second

"Dr. Banner is only here to track the cube. I was hoping you might join him" He says towards Stark

"I would start by that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a H.Y.D.R.A. weapon" Steve advices to 2 scientists

"I don't know about that, but it is powered by the cube and I'd like to know how Loki used it to turn 2 of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys!"

They start talking about 'The wizard of Oz' and happily Maria drags me out of here...and lock us alone in another room which is annoying. "Maria, she doesn't want to be here" I say sighing

"Didn't want to talk about that, but since we're on the topic...What do you mean she doesn't want to be here? When did that ever stop you!? Convincing, subtle interrogation, spying, that's literally what you're best at!" She exclaims

"I called her, she wants nothing to do with S.H.I.E.L.D. She's willing to help if she as the chance though. Besides, what does Fury wants her to do here" I explain ignoring her comment

She looks at me in disbelief for a few seconds and scoffs "I want you to recrute her for post-crisis, Nat. If she won't be part of the Avengers initiative then, I want her as an agent" She decides "Coming back to the reason why I wanted to talk...We want you to interrogate Loki" She says calmly like I'm about to jump and attack her but I just stay there not really knowing what to say, so she goes on "I know you make it personal because of Barton, but you're the most qualified" Maria justifies using that same careful tone

I think about it a few seconds, I'm totally able to do it and that's how I can save Clint. For Clint, that's the plan. "Okay." I finally answer emotionlessly, unlocking the door and walking towards the cell, determined to make him talk
