Harish and Pragi looked at each other in confusion,

Harish interrupted Pragi, shoving his hands into his pocket,

Harish's question logic but painful. He was right, deep down Tara knew that nothing would change. When Vikram left their family, he left them for good. Akshara was the only tie that pulled him together to them and after her he had chosen to disappear, completely. And there were no use in digging back the past.

Moreover, She'll have to face Vikram for everyday from now on and Tara didn't want to evoke any unnecessary issues which might make things weird for them. It could be a distraction to what she had came here for.

Thus, Tara made a mental promise to herself, that she would always keep a professional distance with Vikram.

Vikram could swear that Tara recognised him within an instant but she did not do anything about it. She simply ended the conversation in polite before ending it for good and never ever turned back at him. As if he was a stranger.
