Another yearly Maha-Shaashtraath has been held in the grounds Shardapeeth, scholarly people from all around the world have come to participate. This year was going to be special as new type of Shaashtras were going to be introduced.
Some were excited to gain new knowledge while some were sceptical about it. Nevertheless everyone was eager to discuss and debate each and every shlok and display their scholarship.
Sages, seers and scholars kept coming in, and taking their place in the debate grounds of the temple. Several students of Shardapeeth Vishwavidyalay were also seated.
They kept coming in and bowing to Maharaj Gyaansagar and Maharani Brahmavani, thanking him for invited them to the Maha-Shaashtraath, before taking their desired seats.
Vidyashree entered with the 10 Upanishads in her hands. She was accompanied by Rishi Yagyavalkya and his scholarly wife Maitreyi.
They greeted several knowledgeable beings before taking their seats in front of them.
"Pranaam." A beautiful and serene lady greeted.
"Pranaam Devi Lopamudra." The three greeted the wife of the great sage Agatsya.
There was a hesitance in her eyes, as she looked at Vidyashree, knowing her the one in front of her was the avatar of Harihareshwari.
"Sharadapeeth aapke aane se dhanya ho gaya." Vidyashree said standing up.
"Mai kis mukh se aapko naman karu ?" Lopamudra sighed.
"Devi, aap toh samast vedo ki gyaata aur vikhyata hai, Jagadamba ki parambhakt hai aap, Devsenapati Kartikeya aapko Mata keh ke sambodhit karte hai. Aise mahaan Rishika ko naman toh mujhe karna chahiye." Vidyashree said joining her hands which were held by Lopamudra, who was overwhelmed by her humble nature that didn't even had an ounce of anger or resentment.
"Aap dhanya hai devi, mai aasha karti hu ki aapke iss avatar ke har udeshya poorn ho." Lopamudra smiled.
"Narayan-Narayan !" A divine voice said coming from the skies.
Everyone looked up and bowed seeing Devarshi Narad who came down and stood before Vidyashree.
"Iss mahatwapurn Maha-Shaashtraath ki jab suchna praapt huyi toh mai swayam ko rok nahi paya. Yadi mujhe samellit hone ki aagya praapt ho toh mai kritarth hounga." Narad Muni said playing his kartal.
"Aap awashya samellit ho sakte hai. Kintu ek shart par Devarshi." Vidyashree smiled.
"Kaisi shart ?" He asked.
"Aapko iss Maha-Shaashtraath ka nirnayak banna padega." Vidyashree said.
"Nirnayak ?" Narad Muni looked at her amused.
"Ha. Aapse adhik yogya yaha kaun hai ? Aapne toh Parambhakt Prahlad aur Dhruv ko Hari-naam ki diksha di thi. Aur yahi nahi aapne Prajapati ke sahastro putro ko 2 baar prabhudh kiya tha. Naram paramatma vishyakam gyanam dadati iti Nardah, aap toh woh hai jo sabko Paramatma ka gyaan dete hai." Vidyashree praised him.
"Narayan-Narayan ! Iss Kalyankari Maha-Shaashtraath ka nirnayak banna toh mere liye param-saubhagya ki baat hogi." Narad Muni smiled.
The devarshi was honoured and felicitated before he sat down on the seat of judge.
"Maha-Shaashtraath ab prarambh hoga. Upanishado ke pratyek shlok par charcha hogi aur sabki sehmati se unhe maanya ya amaanya kiya jayega." Narad Muni said.
"Kintu Munivar, kya grantho par charcha karne se poorv uske lekhak ki yogyata jaanna awashyak nahi ?" A scholarly woman stood up from the opposition side.
Seeing her, Maharaj Gyaansagar and Maharani Brahmavani got worried. While Yagyavalkya and Maitreyi looked at each other and then at the calm Vidyashree nervously.
"Lekhak ki yogyata parakhane ka aapko poorn adhikar hai." Narad Muni said.
"Toh mai Garg-putra Vachaknavu ki Su-putri Gargi Vachaknavi, Rajkumari Vidyashree se kuch prashn puchna chahti hu. Yadi yeh mere sabhi prashno ke uttar dede fir koi bhi inke yogyata par sandeh nahi karega." Gargi said.
