Staring into the view in front of me, I don't think I'd ever want to leave

Staring into the view in front of me, I don't think I'd ever want to leave. The sand - the perfect hue of gold, earthen and the nature of humbleness. Though the waves drench the side, lap by lap and drifting the sand away into the unknown.

It reminds me of my family. Of how my brothers used to love going to the beach, nagging mama and papa to take them. I was never fond of the beach and somehow today it's making me feel fond of it.

"It's calming, isn't it?" Sat down beside me, I tilt my head to see Matias with the smallest smile out.

"Mhm, it is." I look back to the sea, getting reminded of what happened the other night when my brothers almost yelled at me.

"Are you still mad, my angel?" He hums and he was right. I was still mad but I didn't want to show him that I was. Not even looking at him, I just know he knows how I feel right now. "You can stay mute all you want but I'm not leaving here."

Knew it. I exactly knew he was going to do this because he does it every time he knows he's messed up. Sighing, I bring my knees to my chest, resting my head against my knees and tilting my head, finally being able to look at him.

"You can leave. I've come here to watch the sea." I mumble, turning back to hear the ripples of waves beat into the shore.

"You never liked the beach, why now?"

"Things change Matias. People change." He scoffs at my words, knowing exactly who I was talking about. He takes my hand without asking and makes me sit up straight.

"We never meant to speak like that to you." He softly speaks and though I try to fight so hard to stay mad, I couldn't stay mad any longer.

"And I never meant for the building to explode." I was still hurt, I'll admit it. My voice sounds croaky yet cold and I don't want it to. But when my mind floods back to that day, I feel like the blame is going to fall over me.

"Reina. It wasn't your fault." He whispers, letting my brother pull me into his arms. I don't stop him, I don't say a word, I just let him hold me. "We all know who did it and that person wasn't yours."

"They wanted you to be against me. They wanted you three to be mad at me." Sitting up straight, I finally understood where this was going and why the explosion happened. Matias looks at me confused, taking a deep breath as I stand up in a swift.

"What do you mean Reina?"

"That day in the office, they knew I was going to be in there. They planned it out well. They thought if I'm there, it would've been my fault for not taking care of the building which meant that you, Lucas and Thiago would be mad." Rambling on, I had no clue what I was saying but it made sense at the same time. "They want us to drift apart, Matias. Don't you get it?"

I could tell by the look on my brother's face he finally caught on about what I was trying to make out. "I get it, my angel. I get it. But you know we're never going to let that happen right?" He touches my shoulder, giving me some reassurance, if not all of his reassurance.
