Everyone froze; I didn't miss the glances they gave each other from the corner of their eyes.

Did I ask something wrong?

It's 7.30pm-ish here. And I teleported like two hours ago.

"Uh - he got an urgent call from the company, " Namjoon replied, a grimace marred his otherwise flawless face as if it mentally pained him to say it aloud. Though he masked it instantly, I was quick to notice.

"Oh, duty calls... " I nodded understandingly, and he gave me a small smile.

"He'll be back soon, " Ara assured.

I wonder if they're lying.

But why will they lie to me... Yeah, I'm just overthinking. Right?
But he left without a word... Why?

"He's working on a new song," Tae's baritone caught my attention.

"Oh!" I nodded with a smile. He smiled back bobbing his head causing his black curls to bounce.

Ah, maybe not I'm just being paranoid.

But a sickening feeling plugged inside me. It's just my insecurities; I tried reasoning with myself.

"Maybe you should get some sleep; you look tired," Hobi suggested.

"Nahh, I'm fine. I can drag myself for a few more hours."

"But you got bags under your eyes," Jimin pointed out.

I wish; I had my concealer. At least I wouldn't have looked like a damn zombie.

"Had a hectic week. I was working on caffeine with barely 3-4 hrs of sleep, " I sighed.

"Just Uni things, I guess," said Hobi.

"Yeah, had a few thesis and test papers. I even forgot my birthday 'cause of all these," I'm still wondering how did I forget my birthday.

"By the way, Happy Birthday, Ash," everyone wished me.

"Thank you, guys!! Today is an unforgettable day of my life. You don't get wished on your birthday by the world-famous boy band every year," I joked.

"Ash, you're indeed very lucky to see my beautiful face on your birthday," Jin winked.

"Of course, my stars were shining brighter than ever."

"Yeah, that's why you fell in the pool," teased Tae.

"Hey!! Who knew I'll be hurled to South Korea in the middle of the night, " I said, and they laughed out.

"And I was a bit intoxicated," I replied sheepishly.

"You were drinking in the middle of the night?" Hobi exclaimed.

"Aniyaa~ My besties woke me up at dot 12 to surprise me. We celebrated and had a few glasses of wine, " I replied shyly, "Birthday toast."

They smiled, shaking their head at me, making me grin.

"Shouldn't have drunk," Yoongi pointed out, and I agreed.

"Plus, I don't know swimming."

"The pool's not that deep, " Tae snickered.

"Oh, " I gave him a shy smile, "I guess it's my stars."

They chuckled.

"It is. Who'd fall and hit their head in not so deep pool? "

"You hit your head? " Yoongi asked, concern evident in his voice.

"Don't worry, it's not a great deal. I'm fi-," But before I completed my words, a sharp pain radiated through my abdomen. It had me out of breath.

"Ash, are you okay? You look so pale suddenly, " I didn't notice Namjoon was close to me.
