Chapter 11

I flipped through my television stabbing the keys of our remote, trying to find something to watch. I want something to pull my mind off this pain.

What pain?

Mother nature decided to bless me with my period today morning.

Jet lag was already proving to be a pain in my ass, and now I gotta deal with period fucking cramps. But honestly, I'm glad, it didn't start until I reached home.

I arrived in LA yesterday night. Eva and Yuki, both had come to pick me up. Our reunion was a sight. We bounced in the middle of the crowded airport while hugging each other for dear life.

I couldn't be any happier.

I groaned in pain and adjusted the hot water bag on my abdomen.

"Take this," said Eva, thrusting a glass of water a painkiller into my hands, and sat beside me on the couch.

I popped the pill into my mouth, swallowing it along with a glass of water.

"Thank you," I mumbled weakly.

We haven't talked much since I arrived yesterday. I was tired after the long flight and today I got my period.

During the whole flight, my mind was plagued with thoughts about Jungkook, his rejection and what shall I tell my girls and family. In short, I couldn't sleep, and all the thinking gave me a headache.

After reaching our apartment, I slept for a few hours until the pain woke me up. The sun's already down, but the pain doesn't seem to cease. Tomorrow we have an afternoon flight to Portland as well. And I hope the pain subsides by then.

I'm literally stuck between my pain, tiredness, and lack of sleep. They both had classes today but came home early because of me.

Yuki emerged from our bedroom and settled with us on the couch.

"Is it that horrible?" She questioned as she settled with us on the couch.

I nodded and adjusted the pillow positioned between my lower back and the couch.

"The med should work; give it some time," said Eva.

"Yeah," I sighed.

My phone pinged with an incoming notification.

A wide grin made its way onto my face as I recognized the sender. Tae had added me to their group chat three days back. So, I'd set a custom ringtone for the particular group. I texted them when I reached my apartment, but they were too busy to reply.

Tae Bear🐯: Hey Lynn!!!

Me💜: Hi Tae!!

Me💜 : Why are you up so late? Isn't it almost midnight out there? 🤔

Baby Mochi🥺: We just got home, like half an hour ago.

My girls leaned in and looked into my screen curiously.

"They're still awake?" voiced Eva.

"Yeah, they've some performances coming up," I explained.

Me💜 : Ohh... Damn. So how did your practice go?

Grandpa Min😏: I'm Dead☠️😵

Me💜 : RIP Grandpa Min😪

Baby Mochi🥺: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Grandpa Min😏: ....... 😛😒👊🏻

We three laughed as the VMin duo continued to tease Yoongi.
