Adidev's POV

" How is parenthood treating you?"

" I didn't know parenthood means sleep deprivation"

I burst out in laughter seeing Saahil's condition. Always perfect and chirpy Saahil has turned into a groggy and grumpy Saahil in just a month

" Laugh .... Laugh all you want... you don't know my predicament "

" Oh... hello... I am a father to twins"

" Come on , you had your whole family to help you out and most importantly  Meera  Bhabhi was there."

" FYI I was a hands on father and a pretty good one too"

" Yeah .... yeah ....yeah" he grumbled,      " Sapna had once said how Meera Bhabhi praised you for your fatherly skills"

" Really..." I was surprised to hear it and felt pure joy rushing through my body

" Look at you.... your face has lit up like a Christmas tree.... "

But this time his mocking was not having any effect on me as I was too happy.

"Whats your problem? "

" I am sleepy.... " he complained

" Saahil, this is just for the first few months , then they will develop a routine and it will get easier. You think about Sapna, she has to go through all the body changes and hormones. It must be causing a havoc in her" I explained patiently, " I still remember the time when Devu used to wake up exactly at 2am and cry her lungs out until I walked her around.  It will be difficult  at first but you will cherish these memories  later on"

He looked at me horrified

" Few months.... few months...." he shouted

" Is that all you have heard from what I just said.... you are impossible,  Saahil"

The waiter came at that moment with our coffee

" Oh....my ....precious...." Saahil whispered as he took a sip of his coffee

I looked at him amused. No one will guess that he has just become a father to a beautiful baby boy.

"So all going good in your life" Saahil asked finally waking up from his grumpiness. Coffee really does the trick for him.

" Everything is going great, thanks to you"

Saahil frowned in confusion

" For suggesting counseling , it was one of the best decisions and has really helped us in coming this far. "

I took a deep satisfied sigh before continuing

" I never felt this happy before. Sometimes  I feel like an idiot to have  missed out on all these before.... "

I looked up to see Saahil's face break out into a brilliant  smile

" What?"

" I am happy that finally your life is on track"

" Yeah , me too"

" So .... did you confess? "

" No..." before he could interject I stopped him and said, " but I will soon. Meera deserves a fairytale and I hope to give her one"

" You have turned into such a romantic" Saahil teased

" Meera makes me one" I replied with a smile

Meera's POV

"No regrets?"

I looked at Megha and with a smile I nodded no

" Maybe I don't understand but I am happy for you"

" I am happy for me too, Megha. I never thought that this day is in my destiny. I held hope but never believed it may happen. What he did for me that day, truly touched me. He gave me my parents, Megha, but..." I said as my eyes welled up with happy tears

" But.." she queried

" I couldn't help myself.....I feel like there is still something  incomplete"

She stared at me for a while before she spoke in all seriousness

"We need to take the reins of our life in our own hands. You have already decided to try, so why not open yourselves more then maybe everything and EVERYONE will fall in place. There is nothing to loose , right?" she said pointedly

I was amazed by how much she could understand without me voicing out my dilemma. Maybe thats what best friends are for.

Megha grabbed my hand while encouraging me

" You deserve all the happiness of the world.. After all you have gone through,  you should be cherished and loved for the rest of your life"

My smile dwindled on hearing the word love.

" What happened ,Meera?" Megha is smart enough to catch my changing mood

" I know Deva cares about me a lot but love...." I trailed off

" You are kidding, right? Meera even me with my skepticism, can see how much Adi loves you. The way he looks at you is the way a man looks at the woman he loves. "

" Really.." I asked Megha like a child for confirmation

" Really and stop worrying  when the other shoe may drop"

"Is it so bad to want to hear those words?" I expressed  my feelings

" No.... I will say that it is your right but don't you see what may be happening.  You both have baggages of the past. Him with his guilt and you with your pain. He may be sacred to confess thinking you may not be ready. Otherwise it is clear as a day that he is IN LOVE WITH YOU. "

My face broke out into a wide smile.

" Someone is blushing" Megha said in a sing-song manner.

I was embarrassed and threw a pillow at her to stop her teasing.

" Dont worry , Meera. Maybe he will surprise you like he did for the date"

" You are right and its also time that I take the initiative for my happiness " I  said with determination
