after our first hotel night, we were scheduled an interview at eleven in the morning. after our interview was over, we went to the venue to soundcheck for tonight. after our soundcheck, we were able to sit back and relax some.

"so, how was sharing a room with miguel like?" i asked jessie as me and miguel sat in jessie's green room.

"our ac was broke, so me and miggy spooned all night," she told me with a grin.

"it kept us warm enough," miguel shrugged.

"and who was the big spoon?" i raised a brow.

"miggy, duh," jess answered.

"of course," i reached out to pinch jj's cheek and shake her head back and forth a few times. "you big baby."

"shush," they pushed my hand away with a laugh.

"how was sharing a room with alex?" miguel questioned.

i groaned, and i let my head fall into jessie's chest, since we were both sitting on the couch. "they were so annoying. they bitched about having to share a room, and they bitched about what i had set the air to. they bitched some more about having to share a room when they woke up."

"so, it's going wonderful," jessie said sarcastically. "exactly as you'd think."

"yep," i sighed as i lifted my head. "i get that sharing rooms is saving money and all, and i'm not complaining about that... but why do i have to share a room with alex? i'd much rather share with one of you! hell, i'd rather share with one of the people who do the lights or some shit!"

they both laughed loudly at that. "don't laugh! i'm suffering here!" i frowned.

jess grabbed my shoulder. "hey, maybe you two will actually get along now since you're forced to be around each other so much. i think this could be good for the both of you."

"i think it has the potential to be good... but i'm not sure if it will be," miguel muttered.

"i'm hoping it is," jj mumbled as she stood up. she stretched, then checked the time on her watch. "we should be starting the show pretty soon; you two should go get ready or whatever."

i checked the time too, and i let out a puff of air. "yeah. good luck tonight," i gave a smile before i exited jessie's green room.

i looked out across the audience as the four of us played. we've had a few shows with this many people, but it still so unreal. the fact that they're here for us is just crazy.

i turned my attention away from them and toward alex. they were singing the song we were playing. i raised a brow. since they're always the one that starts the whole standing in front of each other as we play thing, i figured i would start it tonight.

it'll be fun to, for once, purposefully piss them off.

i walked over towards them, and i stood in front of them. the crowd cheered loudly as they looked down at me. they slightly narrowed their eyes, but they continued to sing. they held contact the entire time.

"i hope you can see the shape i've been in while he's touching your skin."

their eyes never let off of me. that line alone made the crowd cheer even louder. i gave a small smirk.

hours later, we're all on the tour bus, and we're heading to the next city we have a show in. miguel and jessie are both in their bunks, and they're both fast asleep. me and alex are sitting in the lounge area, which is on the same level that the bunks are on.

"all i've fucking seen on insta are pictures and videos from tonight, when you came over to me during woman. all of them are saying that they want us to date," alex ranted as they rolled their eyes. "as fucking if."

"i'm quite a catch, if i do say so myself," i huffed. "but you have your head shoved too far up your ass to even get to know me in the slightest."

"i don't want to 'get to know you,'" they muttered.

"why not? scared you'll actually like me?" i teased.

they laughed. "me? like you? you're out of your mind."

"i'm just saying as a friend; what were you thinking?" i raised a brow, then made a kissy face at them.

they rolled their eyes again. "hell. no. i just don't see me and you seeing eye to eye on... well, anything."

"well, you never know," i shrugged. "might as well try since we've been forced to share a room at all the hotels, and we'll be stuck on this bus together for who knows how many hours."

"i tolerate you; isn't that enough?" they gave a fake smile.

"not according to laura," i sighed. i stood up, and i started to walk towards the bunks. "i'm going to sleep. g'night, alex."

"night," they muttered.

i'm not sure how much later it is when i woke up. judging by the fact that it was still dark outside, i'd say only a few hours. i got up to go pee, which is why i woke up in the first place.

when i was going back to my bunk, i noticed that alex was still in the lounge area. when i stepped closer, i realized that they had fallen asleep on the couch. they were laying there with no blanket or even a pillow. i pursed my lips.

i wonder if they just fell asleep there, or if they just didn't want to sleep in the bunk. i mean, i'm almost half a foot shorter than them, and the bunk is uncomfortable for me, so i can only imagine how uncomfortable it is for them.

i sighed as i looked at them. i walked back over to my bunk, and i opened the curtain. i grabbed one of the two blankets in there, and i walked back over to alex. i covered them up with it.

no matter what they've done or said to me, i just can't find it in myself to be heartless to them. i can't help but help them when they're too drunk to do it their self, and i can't just let them sleep for however long without being covered up; it's too cold for that.

once i covered them up, i walked back over to my bunk. i got back in it, and i closed the curtain back. i went back to sleep, now slightly less warm.
