the day after i started reading twilight to alex, the two of us, along with jessie and miguel, are in a meeting with laura.

alex went on a little tangent about the infamous "any cold, wet thing, i don't really..." scene, which i found hilarious.

"'not really,' i answered honestly, instead of pretending to be normal like everyone else. i was still trying to dislodge the stupid feeling of suspicion, and i couldn't concentrate," i read to alex, who's head was still resting on my stomach.

"'you don't like the cold.' it wasn't a question."

"'or the wet.'"

"'forks must be a difficult place for you to live,' he mused."

"wait," alex abruptly stopped me. "that's it? why the hell did the movie make that shit so awkward?! 'any cold, wet thing, i don't really...' headass."

i laughed loudly. alex moved their head to look at me. "yo, i'm serious! that shit made me want to die of embarrassment, and it wasn't even me. the movie made it so awkward, and for what?" they kissed their teeth. "and i'm assuming that edward doesn't say his corny ass 'why'd you move to the wettest place in the continental u.s?' line?"

"nope," i giggled. "i'm surprised you quoted both of those perfectly."

they narrowed their eyes slightly. "i blame you. and, i've had hella tiktoks about twilight pop up on my for you page on tiktok, and they're always making fun of that scene," they defended before they laid their head back on my stomach. "anyways, you can continue now."

i couldn't help but to laugh again. despite this, i continued to read to them.

"okay, so," laura started as she interlaced her fingers on the table and looked between the four of us. "we have quite a few things to talk about today."

she sat with perfect posture as she spoke. "first thing, you have another tour scheduled," she told us, which made all of our faces light up. "it'll start in january."

"really?!" jessie asked with a grin.

"really," laura confirmed with a chuckle. "so, that's something you all have to prepare for. it'll be twenty-six shows; nine of which will be in europe, and two will be in canada. the rest will be here, in the u.s."

alex leaned forward. "where are the europe shows?"

laura listed them on her fingers. "if i'm not mistaken, there's gonna be a show in london, paris, milan, stockholm, amsterdam, brussels, berlin, cologne, and oslo."

i watched as alex's brows raised a bit at the mention of paris. they had just recently told me about how they lived there for half a year when they were just eighteen. i wonder what they think about going back there after so many years.

"okay, along with another tour... i think it's time you four start working on your debut album," she told us.

"now?" miguel raised a brow. "we just released our ep in june."

"i know, but it could take an entire year to make an album, especially considering you're about to go on another tour. i think it's best you start on it now," laura explained.

"yeah, i guess that makes sense," jessie yawned as she stretched and leaned back in her chair.

laura gave a nod. "and the last thing... you all were nominated for 'favorite group,' in the people's choice awards, so you'll be attending that."
