i narrowed my eyes, and i took my sucker out as i peered down at her. "so what, saylor?"

she cut her eyes at me. "you're so fucking annoying." 

i hummed. "well, you can either suck it up and deal with me, or you can get the fuck out. i really couldn't care less either way," i shrugged as i popped my sucker back into my mouth.

alex hale is cold, closed off, and brooding. due to their past, they have a hard time letting people in, trusting people, and opening up. they have less than healthy ways of coping. 

although saylor kincaid's past wasn't kind to her either, she's quite the opposite of alex. she's loving, too kind for her own good, and tries to see the best in everybody. regardless of how people have treated her, she still can't find it in her heart to not help them.
