Blurred vision again. I don't want to do this again. It is always going to be the same.

"Macy, we both know you really wanna remember." That's the thing, do I honestly wanna find out? If it's completely different than how I think it went down, then I really am insane. It'd be too late for me.

"That's not true, you owe it to yourself and Janie Anne to know what happened." I could hear the screams now.

"Who is screaming?" What? What does it matter who is screaming?

"Focus, does their scream sound familiar?" I listened, hearing them scream until they started sobbing. Janie Anne isn't the one screaming, I heard that girl cry enough to know.

"Then who could be screaming?" I tried to focus while looking around more. Who could have been there? Is it whoever saw me and called the cops?

"Macy, can you see any better?" I don't know, it's still so blurry. I can feel myself getting light headed. I can't feel my body.

I launched up, feeling sweat down my back. Jill stayed silent as I tried to calm down and breathe. I fucking hate this, it's obviously not working!

"Macy." Jill tried. I ignored her, keeping my head down as I finally took deep breaths.

"Macy, it's normal to react like this." She told me.

"I'm not doing it anymore." I moved my legs, sitting against the couch.

"How about we take a break. We can try it again when you are ready." Jill smiled. I sighed, why was this one more intense? When we first started I barely even reacted afterwards.

"I need to ask you something." I sat up, "Do you know everyone staying in this wing?"

"Odd question. I know almost everyone in your wing, most of them see me." She told me.

"Do you happen to know a guy named Aaron? Pretty tall,

always wears a leather jacket." I described. Jill perked her head up, she clearly knows him.

"Aaron Kovack I believe. How did you meet him?" She asked me, sitting up more. I wonder why she is more invested in this?

"Anger management. Does he come see you?" I asked. I know she won't answer that question, maybe she'll subtly tell me something else about him.

"Aaron does what he wants. Do be careful around him." She warned me.

"Why? Did he kill someone?" I know I was pushing it, but Jill actually looked really worried for a moment.

"Macy, I can't tell you anything. Let's wrap it up with the daily reminder." Jill stood up, waiting for me. I stood and reached for the door.

"Darkness is not my friend." I nearly mumbled it, but Jill let me go.

XXXXX

Today's game is cards. Naturally me and Chelsea paired up to play them as matching pairs. It's perfect because I don't have to try to be social. I kept thinking about what Jill said. I really wanna know what Aaron did.

I looked up at Chelsea, her face scrunched up as she looked at the cards.

"Hey, you know stuff about people right?" I asked her. She's like a gossip queen. She told me so many things on my first day.

"I mean, it depends on who." She flipped two cards over. A match.

"Aaron Kovack. Remember him?" I flipped two cards. No match.

"Oh yeah. I remember him. What are you wanting to know?"

"What got him in here?" I lowered my voice. He's been sneaky, I never see him coming.

"I heard from a nurse who read an article about it. He beat a kid with a hammer at a party." She casually told me. I stopped, why did he do that?

"That's brutal." I whispered, flipping over two cards.

"I think he likes you." She added.

"Fucking what?" I snapped. I barely know him and already hate him. Chelsea giggled,

"Silly, he's always following you around. You never noticed until now?" She tilted her head at me, her long blonde locks slid over her shoulder.

"Until now?" I asked. Chelsea blinked at me, like she's actually clueless.

"I think it's time to clean up." Chelsea stood up, gathering all

the cards.  I know she's messing with me. Honestly it didn't make much sense, why was Jill scared of him if that's all he did? Everyone thinks I killed someone and Jill isn't scared of me.

I left the area while everyone cleaned up. I stopped once I noticed Aaron leaning against the wall near me. Part of me wanted to ignore him, but I'm too curious.

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked him. He shrugged, pushing off the wall to walk closer to me.

"Wanna do something fun?" He smiled at me.

"Not really." I stepped back, taking a nap sounds good now. Aaron snatched my wrist, pulling me back.

"Aren't you just a ball of sunshine? Come on! It'll be quick." He begged. I pulled my arm, but he definitely wasn't letting go.

"Fine, let me go!" I shoved him, feeling him loosen his grip. He nodded, slowly letting go of me.

"Follow me." He nodded with his hands out, waiting for me to go first. I sighed, reluctantly leading the way. Aaron stayed right behind me as we walked down by the rooms.

He stopped at an empty room. There was a very small and thin line of tape across the door that read 'do not cross', Aaron slightly unpeeled the end of the tape, opening the door carefully.

Shoving me in, he took a glance around before jumping in. He shut the door quickly, turning around slowly.

"Ok, just wait one sec." he lifted a finger, before stepping around me. I looked around, it was just an empty room with a bed and shelves. What could possibly be in here? As Aaron bent over, he reached under the desk.

"This room is technically under construction. No one is allowed in but it's not a concern right now. It's a perfect hiding place as well." Aaron grabbed something. He stood up quickly with a proud look on his face.

I looked at his hands, watching him unfold them.

Then the lights started to flicker. Oh no, I don't like the dark! I froze when the lights went out. I can't see. It's too dark. Darkness can't appear!

"And that's why it's under construction." Aaron sighed. I didn't dare move. I felt him walk around me, wait where is he going!? My hands snatched onto his jacket. I felt like a cat sinking claws into him.

"Are you scared of the dark, Sunshine?" Aaron let out a chuckle. Does he think this is funny!?!?!
